Yes the “rear-mg” is clearly a typo.
So you think the rule is just redundant and no attention should be paid to the last sentence?
“In addition, you can fire either the main gun or the rear-mounted machine gun, but not both in the same turn.”

The “main gun” refers to its turret mounted light AT gun. I do think the “rear-mg” is a typo and should refer to its co-axial mg.

Hi,
Rule question here : regarding the german FLAMMPANZER B2 (F).
In the german codex, it says that – One-man turret: Combining the roles of commander, gunner and loader together and squeezing the man responsible into a one-man turret means it’s hard to do different things at once! To represent this it is always necessary to take an order test…[Read more]

Thanks Nat, I was more into earlier period, not a fan the the covered shakos and great coats. I’ll order a army starter peninsular and see what come. I wish I could afford a whole 28mm metal army like my 25mm I collected 30 years ago 🙂

Warlord late war Battalions are 24 single piece models, with pack and heads separate  8 which had epaulettes.  There are multiple different Shakos

Dont know what if any answer you got, but I would personally not force a wild fighter unit to use that ability against Skirmishers as that would be a bit “gamey”.

I love the Bandi 1/48 tank kits , I had 30 or so back in the 70s . Like a fool I gave them away when I got into building 1/35 . Warlord’s newer weapons are probably a little larger to look good with the heroic type troops . The 1st plastic German troop kit has smaller size rifles ( on the separate sprue ) than the weapons on the newer German tr…[Read more]

“I only have trouble using the heroic size figures when crewing a vehicle or having troops in close proximity to one , it looks a little weird . So I tend to use more slender 28mm or even Tamiya 1/48 figures who look pretty good if you shorten them a bit , in my vehicle.”
You just might have something here… thanks for the tip. I have these very…[Read more]

Hi , I’m new to Black Powder but not to Napoleonic gaming, I’m looking to build an infantry division of the normal 6 company battalion structure: 1 grenadier company, 1 voltigeur company and 4 centre companies. I looking at getting the French peninsular starter army, is the army set sprues the same as the single battalion box? In that case their…[Read more]

Hi all, I’m a lapsed miniatures gamer from Sydney, Australia. Thirty three years ago I start with a 25mm minfigs French Napoleonic army using WRG Horse and Musket rules. There was a small group of players around. A little later I play WH Fantasy and WH 40K 1st Eds, more recently I’ve collected X-Wing miniatures while playing only a few games. I…[Read more]

Hi Slartybartfast! Welcome to the forums. Â You are always very welcome to post any questions – we all get a bit stuck and confused sometimes!
If your unit is disordered by the enemy shooting then in your next turn it can’t receive any orders as you say.  It can move on Initiative, but only to fall back from the unit that disordered it.  It does…[Read more]

Cool little booklet, but isn’t the order of the pages wonky? The campaign steps aren’t in order… maybe just a glitch?

Thanks Phillip. Much appreciated. I think I have the movement covered in that all units are on movement trays which works well for both identification and ease of play on the table. Combat wise it might be worth fighting as a brigade, rather than as individual units within the brigade. Having said that it seems using the stats for a line infantry…[Read more]

Page 20 (main rulebook) under Formations. It tells you all about Skirmish formation.
Basically, it tells you about the different way that units use the formation “Skirmish Order”. As a line unit in “Skirmish Order” is not a unit of skirmishers, they do not benefit from being skirmishers.
I don’t comment much on the supplements because I tend no…[Read more]

The ca. 100 men at the Beijing Radio Station in Italian concession under Lt. Cmdr. Baldassarre had been a mix from army and navy. The Navy officers and OR wore white naval tropical dress, the OR had a Khaki drill one that some may have worn. The army guys wore  the standard tropical khaki uniform . They had only light arms.
3/4 decided to f…[Read more]
