There is also a Firefly “jump in” scenario in the Festung Europa Book were it is stated that all uinits with the FLAK rule cold shoot. But only if they not have recived an order die at that moment.
But units in ambush (in bolt action) can use FLAG also. If i remember correct.
So it seems a bit “unclear” how it is handled in K47.
There are not…[Read more]

Howdy Nat!
Thanks for the response and the info on where rules are. It’d be nice if rulebooks could contain all the info in one place….
Those may be the rules. They make no sense to me. I get that Warlord Games wants to sell lotsa the new Allied jump mechs and Fireflies, but coming from Reserve and being able to basically land anywhere on…[Read more]

No, because the FLAK rule is explicit against attacking aircraft & doesnt use an order.
Flight comming on from reserves has its own rules which grant ANY enemy unit within 12″ the abiltiy to react and shoot – using the firing units orderThis isnt in errata, but the errata is found same place as the army lists:

OK, I’ve been playing Version 2 for a while now. We have a league going at White Knight Games. I’ve got a question that I haven’t been able to get a satisfactory answer for. When the Falkes, and Fireflies, and various Jump Mechs come in from Reserve and are landing anywhere on the playing field, do units with the Flak ability shoot at th…[Read more]

Hi again you said you introduced your own simple rules what are they?
Our smoke rules are nothing fancy, but we did a bit of research to make sure certain vehicles or units could produce smoke. Surprisingly, a lot of tanks can produce some sort of smoke for cover. Even if it was some sort of smoke canister installed on the back of the tank.…[Read more]

I’m looking for opponents to get some games against.
I’m in Richmond (west London), so can probably travel into central, but Dark Sphere at Shepherds Bush looks a good shout.I have 1500 pts of Commonwealth and 2 lists to try.
Any takers? -
Stuart Harrison replied to the topic Rangers Lead the Way in the forum Bolt Action 2 weeks, 5 days ago
Yes, they can. Rangers Lead the Way is in the ‘Start of Game’ phase of the game, p175. The last part of that phase is ‘…put all the dice back into the bag. You are ready to begin Turn 1.” As turn one hasn’t started yet, turn one rules aren’t in effect yet.

The Italian Defensive Strategy rule prohibits units from being issued a Run order during the first turn of the game. Since the Rangers lead the Way rule specifically states that the Run occurs before the first turn, can a unit of Rangers still execute a Run before the game begins?

Hi again you said you introduced your own simple rules what are they?
I’m looking at some ideas at this moment but my many problems are the range of a hand thrown grenade and what effect they would have. In any assault none as you can see in or out of smoke to haze a range that would stop any enemy closing fire would have to be so long it would m…[Read more]

hi if you keep the ranging in rules with mt simple rules above you can Dee the rounds getting closure. Even with a few over compensation of distance. As the miss distance max decreases each round.
i have just read about the tank generated smoke this seems to be a defensive mechanism so i wile fry letting tanks with this ability drop a 2”” smo…[Read more]

I agree Smoke rules are not Good. I use the rules below. The main reason is to use the British Airborne as in Historical realistic ways( British Airborne in op Market Garden had a 2” Mortars in every Section the crew men also carried personal weapons this was because they only had 6 Smoke rounds) so I use them being able to fire as either.

Does the Brandenburger squad have to be actually on the table for ” Sabotage” rule to work?? If they are off table as reserves but included in a German force?
Unless there is something new in the errata we have missed, we have always played that the unit must be in play for their Sabotage special rule to influence the enemy. This of course mak…[Read more]
