Nat is right following the rules.
But there is no reason to get the game close to real world among gentle men. For example the 88 was sometimes moved for short distances without motor. So in 1940 against French bunkers. With a few rounds on the Sonderanhänger. Slow, hard work. Under fire…….
On other side manhandling a medium gun, hmm…[Read more]

Nat replied to the topic Light Guns/AA in the forum Victory At Sea 5 years ago
1) light guns using DP are light guns that are able to shoot flights, they by pass Tough & Very Tough but are used during the ships activation -this has been confirmed by the Author on Social Media, if you check out the ‘news from the wardroom!’ thread I’ve put up a flights 101 guide which has all the references of how they work. There is also a…[Read more]

I’ve seen several places where this question has been asked, all with different answers, so I suspect 1st Ed might have been different….
Anyway…
(1) Is there any differentiation between moving a heavy artillery vs a light artillery? I cannot find one in the rules.
(2) Can you issue an order for a Flak 88 or a Heavy howitzer to move itself?…[Read more]

invisible officer replied to the topic Creative models in the forum Bolt Action 5 years ago
Well, creative models are ever good. Making them more “Yours”
But with the MG I’m with Kar 98K. Or better said, against a K98. 😉 The better option would be a pistol, the German MG gunner’s secondary weapon.
For cases I use to cut pieces of brass wire. Easy to cut and allready the perfect color.

Admin replied to the topic Thread Approval in the forum General Discussion 5 years ago
Ive added an update to the forum software that should prevent it from being so strict in future, external links to images should now in theory work without needing approval. Hopefully that works!
Images can also be uploaded as attachments to the forum as always, with a maximum file size of 9mb.

By this point in the war the Free French where entirely equipped by the US
however 1st Army (France) – Wikipedia as a whole…but if you focus on 2nd Armored Division (France) – Wikipedia
Also if you look at Campaign : Battle of the Bulge it has a Free French Europe platoon.

invisible officer replied to the topic Ground Scale in the forum Bolt Action 5 years ago
Steeljacket, it’s normal to have ground and weapon scales that are different from minatures scale. BA is strange anyway in having a 1 miniature = 1 soldier and in normal sized units ratio but guns are normally used as singles, not batteries.
The buildings are done by most as symbols for rural area, not true single ones.
The ground scale, gi…[Read more]
