So I thought I’d start this thread so I can post up player guides and stuff that I’m (and others) are writing up on the Facebook group the Wardroom.

I’ll start with a generic bit of news – a couple of members are updating the Battlescribe data files, they have done 99% of the IJN, the points of the RN & RM.. others are being worked out so expect them to be updated over the next few weeks!

So heres the Flights 101, pretty much everything you need for flights, pending the FAQ….

v.1 of the Cheat Sheet (2 page) and shooting modifiers (also 2 page)

edit – noticed an error in the dogfight section after I posted it… also I’ve renamed the file!  use the version with wardroom in the title, thanks.

edit 2- sorry its been pointed out that I put the orders in the wrong place, they are actually in the movement phase when you activate each ship (doesnt matter overall, but has casued a little confusion.)

Good Evening Nat. I downloaded your cheat sheet today. It is helpful in speeding up play. I definitely like how you did the gunnery chart.

However, I noticed a discrepancy in the Movement section. It reads, “Move ship at least 1″ unless ‘run aground’, flank speed of 0″ or anchored” (FAQ March 2021). Ships must move 2″ unless they have the ‘agile’ trait (as per the main rules).

Also, you write about issuing orders in the initiative phase. I read the rules as stating this intention before one moves their ship. Am I correct?

    Respectfully,

    Pete.

    Hi Peter,

Re movement – all ships have to move at least 1″ forward on activation unless the ships condition is one of the 3 I mentioned.  However they are not able to turn unless they’ve moved 1″with agile or 2″ normally or with lumbering trait (limited to 1 turn per move)

Re Orders – yes they’re supposed to be in the ship activation irrespective of the order.  I’ll have to correct that if I do another mini version before the FAQ.  Thank you for highlighting that (no one else has!)

I’m going to put it down to reading the rules to much and not getting any games in :p

Thank you for the prompt response. I re-read the movement rules last night and found my mistake in regards to the one (1) inch rule. I apologize for my error.

    Respectfully,

    Pete.

dont worry about it, its how we learn, I’ve learnt as much by writing these guides as by reading the rules.

So just a general update here.  The studio team are defiantly looking at the questions I’ve submitted so i’m guessing /hoping we’ll have an FAQ /Errata in a couple of weeks.

    Ok FAQ has been released….

I’ll be updating the cheat sheet and flights 101  to come fully inline over the next couple of weeks, I’ll also do an MTB & Subs one…

Ok, I’ve updated the flights 101 & the cheat sheet to be inline with the FAQ

Edit – there is a error in the FLIGHTS 101, last point in the movement section – where it says “Only 1 fighter flight may escort 1 other role flight.”   … just cross that line out as its wrong!
