• Michael, I live outside the UK and have placed several orders from various shops. The problem is not the companies posting them out but the planes sitting on the runways, waiting until they fill up their cargo holds since so few planes are scheduled right now, so each flight has to count.

I waited 3-4 weeks for my last order, and tracking said…[Read more]

A rather generic idea ..would be… all of the men would be european flesh colour

British line Infantry – black shakos, dark red tunics with (colour -dependant on regiment) facings, white /grey trousers, white straps with light brown packs and ammo case on the belt, black shoes and waiste belt, grey roll on top of the packs

    French Line Infantry…[Read more]

  • Semantics?

We are concerned with the era 1770 – 1830. So a any action of 1741 is …. . My old German university teachers woud have said: “Thema verfehlt, Setzen . Sechs.” (Wrong Topic, sit down, worst note possible) And same those at my Oxford time.

Worse. It was a siege. Intended to win a town. Fought at the coast and in harbor. It was not…[Read more]

  • Due to lockdown the Chelmsford Bunker has a few of us discussing picking up BP, mainly peninsula war forces…we’ll see what happens when lockdown is over!

  • Hmm, the Sturmtiger was designed for street fighting, but was rarely used in that role. The only true one was in Warsaw uprising.

Two from Sturm Mörser Kompanie 100 being part of Kampfgruppe SS-Ogruf. von dem Bach (Abt. Ia Tgb-Nr. 110/4/44 g)

But do we really want to play forces that include the Dirlewanger scum?

The brave peoples from Wa…[Read more]

Just noticed that a nicely presented version is available on the BRS dedicated page, but it’s the September version, not the December one.
I should update the french version by the way.

  • I suppose my last post is in the spam box at the moment.
Not sure if it is linked to the same behaviour but all my externally hosted pics don’t show anymore for quite some time now.

  • Thank you WL! (not sarcastic)

VaS items on the store have been updated now to read

“Please note this is a pre-order product and is due to be released TBC. Any other products ordered at the the same time will be held until it is ready to go!”

The other approach is just to play a KV1… then it doesnt matter what arc they are in, your still DV10+ :p

  • When you choose a unit at the start of the game, you also choose the experience level, and based on the experience level the initial morale level is determined. But morale and experience are two different things and morale during the game varies without affecting the experience.

  • As I understand it the loss of the NCO does not mean the squad becomes inexperienced. For example a veteran squad losing its NCO would take morale checks at 9 instead of 10. It just decreases the morale by 1. It should not affect the squad’s shooting.

  • Good question, but seriously, how often (if ever) does this really happen? I have never seen this come up in our club’s games.

That’s probably true but it can still happen. One could also ask how often do you see a Chaffee take out a King Tiger from the front? I have only seen it happen once so far, and we nicknamed that tank “Lucky Chaffee” 😊

The only problem is precisely if the axis of the cannon barrel is on the separation line of two arcs of fire. But as Masterchief has already written, in similar cases (such as when it is too far to say whether or not there is cover) the regulation suggests that in case of uncertainty to roll a dice: in this case 50% is front arc 50% is lateral arch

  • Good illustration diagrams. The other question that arises is what if exactly 50% of the firer lies in the front arc and 50% in the side arc. For example the line separating the target’s front and side arcs cuts exactly long the diagonal of the shooting vehicle.

  • Irony factor … apparently the warlord spanish page has already announced it being pushed back to early june….

  • Steeljackal replied to the topic Angle of impact in the forum Bolt Action 6 years, 5 months ago

You use fire vehicle’s fire arc for 2 things:

1- When you is the attacker, determine where you can fire and wich weapon can fire

2- When you is the target, determine where they shoot to you, where the shot comes from

  • Steeljackal replied to the topic Angle of impact in the forum Bolt Action 6 years, 5 months ago

The attacker can see the target’s front and side, and can hit one of them.

The ruls, however, says that you must not see what the attacker sees, but in which arc (defender’s arc) the attacker is located, in this case he is in the front defender’s arc and therefore the front armor value is applied.

The reason behind this: even if the attacker’s…[Read more]
