Mark Prichard started the topic Totenkorp (or other zomb ie units) and Reactions in the forum Konflikt '47 5 years, 2 months ago
The Totenkorps (or other zombie units such as the Japanese) ignore pin markers and morale checks. So does that mean they cannot perform a reaction because they do not do morale checks, or does it mean they automatically pass the morale test and can always do reactions?
Obviously is seems that animated corpses would not be able to perform a…[Read more]

1) That is correct. It is nasty charging into guns, so avoid it wherever possible. Both units will fire Closing Fire as your unit contacts. Then, should it have suffered any casualties, your unit takes a break test. Now, this doesn’t happen often with Infantry vs infantry, but where artillery is concerned, it is brutal. Once you’ve survived tha…[Read more]

Hi
About Fighting Combat
Assume an Infantry unit (HtH:9) is facing 2 units : 1 Infantry (HtH :6) + 1 Artillery (HtH:1)
The rule say (P.69) to divide attacks. I must assign 4 dices vs Artillery and 5 dices vs Infantry ?
Another one :
Can a Cavalry unit support Infantry ?

If it was that way in Beta, then you’re right: it is probably a fudge. I’m not sure I like the reasoning. But But it is what it is. 🙂
Thanks for the info.

Obviously there is no way I can give you an “official” response, but triple 6″ gun turrets had 2 AD in beta as well. It’s a fudge.
I think it has something to do with critical chance of guns. Lots of 6″ guns gave you lots of potential hits, which gave you lots of damage dice which increased the chance of criticals; a 12×6″ or 15×6″ cruiser could…[Read more]

So, another item that seemed odd to me. Was wondering if it might be a card error.
We were looking at the stats for the Pre-War Mogami weapons. Prior to the turrets being 2x 8″ guns, they were 3x 6″ guns. We looked at the stats on the back of the card for the 6-inchers. Now, while they lowered the stats of the gun appropriately [lowering the…[Read more]

Good point. If leaving on a downwind edge, ship will turn towards the direction it was headed, unless that brings it to a corner, in which case reverse. If ship goes out exactly perpendicularly, turn towards furthest edge. If exactly in middle of edge, active player chooses.

Warlord’s German historian was not asked about IR 950, the Azad Hind. So I doubt that it will be included in the next Normandie book.
The unit was organised from may 44 on like a German Standard infantry unit. Serving mostly as occupation force and retreating post Invasion it had few Engagements. It was never trusted , there had been…[Read more]

The Japanese version is in Empires in Flames, p80. It’s just a single squad entry for inclusion with Japanese armies, but the author forgot to include the paragraph on which selectors it can be used for.
I don’t think there’s a specific entry for the German version anywhere, but nothing would stop you fielding them as a variant SS squad, Heer…[Read more]

Charge The Guns replied to the topic Charging though friendly units in the forum Pike & Shotte 5 years, 2 months ago
Hi Mark, I think I would interpret this one as that you have to get two orders to achieve the charge. One to get through the friendly troops and see your target, and then the second order for the unit to charge. This is on the basis of what the rules say about having to see the target, but that you may have a final move to contact being the…[Read more]

Lord Snotrag replied to the topic A couple of rules questions in the forum Victory At Sea 5 years, 2 months ago
Okay, I must’ve read something into it. Probably what the rule will look like once they put out a full rulebook. I’m thinking the rule is just written poorly. [Which would not make it the first one in this book.] Otherwise, not only is the observation role generally useless, it completely contradicts one of its historical usages.
