Hmmmm, I am currently not having any (yet)… but I’m thinking about going 50:50.
At first, I’ll need to gather more interest (there are just ”two of us” currently interested to start) for the system with Core rules book played with ”available proxy models” at my local ”Figurine Games Assossiation”, since it will come cheaper to make group orders…[Read more]

Hopefully the demand has been noted. I suppose the fact we have 4 options in your response shows that Warlord will struggle to keep everyone happy, but it certainly needs something

Hi Mike
Broadly agree – the aircraft in CS are a bit of a mess.
The rivet counter in me would point out Swede “claimed” three Zeroes, most recent assessments is he actually shot down none of them, and the ramming story is a pure fabrication (not his – just the “Yellow Press” as far as I can tell) .
The replacement of Swordfish Albacores on…[Read more]

If you notice frigates (the two RN ones in the rules) ARE already classified as Destroyers….
Warlord have consolidated the ship types……

Here are some other pics from the first day.

Two Italian torpedo boats attempt to head off the American Elco and Higgins boats, only to have one lose 33 hull points for it’s troubles.

I sponsor a gaming club at the middle school where I teach (Grace Snell Middle School). The club meets every Wednesday after school and the club is open to all students (6th, 7th, and 8th grades) and dedicated to teaching critical thinking and a love of history to kids that have never been exposed to such. I picked up my copy of “Cruel Seas” d…[Read more]

I also noticed some problems with the ship stats in the rulebook:
1) Fletcher class destroyers: The game gives her five 4″ guns. The last American destroyer class to have 4″ guns(http://www.navweaps.com/Weapons/WNUS_4-50_mk9.php) were the Clemsons that were built from 1919 to 1921. These were the ships transferred to the Royal Navy and know…[Read more] -

I picked up Cruel Seas just as Covid was heating when I saw in my Local Hobby Shop, in Marietta, Georgia, and thought it would be a good game for the students at the Middle School where I teach. The kids loved it and I do enjoy seeing the 6th and 7th graders playing it. That said, being a history teacher and model builder with AMS (Advanced M…[Read more]

Yes they do! That is, any unit that is in a position to support (within 6 inches of the unit fighting the combat), regardless of whether it was used as a support or not, must take a break test if the friendly fighting unit breaks! This only applies to a hand to hand combat situation and not shooting. Supports don’t count during shooting.

units in combat do they have to do break tests if a friendly unit in range breaks whether it was offering them support or not .. even though they don’t support other combats themselves .

Or Epic Battles Wars of the Sun King (1667-1698)?

That is a nice scenario idea there, sir. 👍
I’ve had personally found an interesting podcasted scenario game of K47, where the campaign’s story plot was something between the lines;
”Germany and Japan are plotting on having Japanese scientists and engineers sneaked into Germany for improving the rift-tech of German scientists. The plan was to tr…[Read more]

Hi Craig
I made a request eight days ago because two items I ordered arrived defective. I received a confirmation email and a ticket was created. However, the ticket has not yet been assigned to anyone and I have not received a reply. As I said, it was eight days ago… The ticket number is #158082.Thanks Claudio
