A pity more not here but worth persevering perhaps a few more will add. I have to confess I have not tried to be too historically accurate with the paint schemes – I do want to be able to see what’s on the table! I had some fun with dazzle designs with my small British fleet. I attach some pics below…

Ian started the topic Motozattera – 'almost immune to torpedoes!' in the forum Cruel Seas 3 years, 11 months ago
I have just been given a Motozattera model and been doing some research. It seems these landing craft did some serious work in WWII including repelling the Allied attack on Tobruk (Operation Agreement). However I note in their stat line in the rulebook it does not mark them as immune to torpedoes as are other barges (eg I have a Landing Craft Guns…[Read more]

Thanks Gents. Well, my solo campaign was due to lockdown in the UK. The early battles were solo, now the battles are multi-player battles. Depending on forces, two, three or four players can play each battle. Battle 14 in my campaign is due tomorrow at my wargames club – me taking the Romanians against Bob and Phil doing the Soviets. Losse…[Read more]

No, only one officer applies to any given unit at a time – p82, Headquarters, Officers, last para on the page.

Can Officers stack their morale bonus so that a units gets the benefit of two officers morale bonus if in command range?

i actually plan to make 2-3 regiments of French Light Infantry for Spain 1809-1812.
So any hint about musician color and voltigeurs epaulets would be great.
Have to check order of battles to see was 27th light regiments (where we have drummer in Osprey plate) present in Spain?

Scenario 5 – The Attila Line uploaded at this link.
Another interesting scenario and fought out at a higher points value than previous outings.

The problem is theory and reality. 17th frimaire AN XI an order came from Paris that the band musicians had to wear the same dress the drummers / hornists wore.
April 1807, August 1810, Sept. 1811. There are enough orders and material lists about reduction of the expensive add ons to fill a book. The colonels did not care and so the tête de c…[Read more]

do you know what regiment(s) you’re wanting to paint? As you might be able to find out more specifics online
This site has all the 1815 uniforms of the 100 days (http://centjours. mont-saint-jean.com /unitesFR. php)

Sounds like you’re looking at late war, so you’ll definitely need an officer and I’d highly recommend making one into a FOO (observer). I think you’d also be able to make a medic with the GI kit if you wanted to.
You can only have 1 bazooka team per platoon so I wouldn’t make more than that
Here’s basic squad makeup, though you’ll have…[Read more]

I’m sure there are others.
As for myself, I like a good campaign that links games together. That is, losses and gains in one game carry over to the next.
You had mentioned solo play. For this, I really recommend looking into a system called “Platoon Forward” by Joseph Legan. Believe it or not, it works really well with Bolt Action.

Stuart Harrison replied to the topic Shirkers Coming in on First Wave in the forum Bolt Action 3 years, 12 months ago
Yes, they should test.
The mention of not taking a test coming on as first wave is just general confirmation the ‘coming on from reserve’ trigger does not apply due to not actually being reserves, it doesn’t address any unit special rules that may also be triggers for an order test (such as ‘shirkers’, advancing with ‘one man turret’).

Stuart Harrison replied to the topic Transports Carrying Units in Reserve in the forum Bolt Action 3 years, 12 months ago
You designate which units are on which transports at set up, and you should indicate this to your opponent at that time – too late for them to board it when it’s just about to roll onto the table. See p132, Playing a Game of Bolt Action, Scenario Special Rules, Reserves, last para.
