Thanks for that page reference. I thought I was going mad. I knew it was there, but couldn’t find it no matter how hard I looked. I even looked in BP1!

general rule of thumb for a 4 x 6′ board at the club where I play is make a board that looks like a land mark that would be fought over… be it cross roads, a small village with a church, a river crossing etc
to do that you’ll want 7′ of river with at least 1 bridge and 2 crossings (you want a couple of bends in the river)
about the same in…[Read more]

Hi Frank,
I’ve put the wardroom FAQ up in its own thread which covers a number of questions… but I’ll stress most are unoffical!!!
However to answer what you’ve asked
Tough – yes local 1 = impossible to shoot down a tough plane… however DP guns can! (the FAQ has a complete breakdown of how AA works)
Carrier points – yes at the moment..…[Read more]

The change in currancy acceptance and the related exchange rate may not be warlord, but rather the bank that provides the payment portal..
espically as its now been updated to accept applepay & googlepay
I stress may.. .because I dont know which system they use to provide the payment portal

So your saying ignore the dogfight completely?
Note I’m not talking tactics about if you should engage the attacking bomber flight or not ….purely what would happen if you did

invisible officer replied to the topic Question about equiping Nid-late war US Marine NCOs with pistols in the forum Bolt Action 5 years, 5 months ago
I wrote LMG, not SMG. It surely affects the leaders job. A good leader is not just showing his rank signs, he commands. And for that he needs all his senses to control the fight.
Holding that weapon is no problem but serving it is. A LMG demanded a lot of “love” to work. So both crewman had to focus on that job. No time left to look wha…[Read more]

So a little of history mixed with a bit of game play… using tank veterancy rules as a base idea…here is Nats idea! ™ :p
Tiger fear : 1943 onwards. All German tanks with an armour value of 8+
If an activating unit can draw LoS to a unit with this rule it must take an order check or change its order to down or run, and must end its…[Read more]

So define intresting….
looks / modeling – you’ve got the IFF late 1944, so you can do a mix of free french in US & British uniforms with US armour + resistance fighters (with IFF arm bands) & supporting SAS / para’s /rangers
You’ve got British /Free french/dutch/norwegian etc commandos
LRDG (long range desert group) for that raiders with…[Read more]

Nat started the topic Bombers, dogfights & ships…what happens? in the forum Victory At Sea 5 years, 5 months ago
So a question came up on the wardroom today… so I thought I’d see what opions here is!
Scenario – there is a bomber flight (dive / torp /bomber..doesnt matter) thats touching the base of an enemy ship. Also touching the bomber flight but not the ship (not that would matter) is an enemy flight…
Now RAW doesnt say anything about this…so…[Read more]

I understand that peoples dislike the Tiger fear. But it was a well intended rule based on history, a psychological rule based on the Allied hystery about Tigers. Adding historical flavor.
We have literally hundreds of reports of being attacked by Tigers – with no kitten around for a hundred miles.
And in many Allied soldiers ran from “T…[Read more]

invisible officer replied to the topic Question about equiping Nid-late war US Marine NCOs with pistols in the forum Bolt Action 5 years, 5 months ago
That gamy discussions about words. I can just repeat, officers and NCO are with a unit to lead, not to kill themselves. Serving a LMG makes their true job impossible.
So they should loose any officer / NCO Bonus.
And yes, it’s no historical simulation. But based on history. And real world. You can’t do many things at same time. Th…[Read more]

Not that thick can stuff but that formerly used on toothpaste tubes. They are today mostly made from plastic but other stuff still comes in that foil material. It is ideal.
