Master Chief replied to the topic Flameproof tanks in the forum Bolt Action 4 years, 11 months ago
Bolt Action 2nd Ed page 67:
Any unit hit by a flamethrower takes 1 pin marker because it has been hit, and a further D3 pin markers to account for the unbridled terror unleashed upon it, for a total of D3+1 pin markers on the target.
Page 102:
Note that if a weapon/rule applies pin markers automatically, and/or does not have a known Pen…[Read more]

A KV-1 has 10 armour. Flamethrower Pen is +3. So since it cannot be hurt, would a Regular crew have its 50% chance to ignore this low threat? (And veterans 100% chance). If yes, does that mean it skips the rout check normally forced by flamethrowers?

SteveT started the topic Timing of Going Down in the forum Bolt Action 4 years, 11 months ago
Does a unit have to say “Going Down” the moment say a tank fires at it. Or can it wait to see if the tank hits and then go down? I assume both are options depending on how much risk you want to take.

Well written and nice pics.
The fighting in the last WW I weeks was as deadly as the trench war- In my collection is the sword of a 2nd LT kia three weeks before armistice in following the retreating German army.
The rearguards came from the best German units.

perry metal command advancing might fit what you’re looking for… (same size as warlords)
there’s also Elite miniatures (no idea what these look like compared to warlord), essex (smaller in scale), warfoundry (smaller in scale) & Vitrix (slightly bigger models)

Nat replied to the topic Guessing time! in the forum Victory At Sea 4 years, 11 months ago
I’m guessing that due to the delays in shipping the Italians (pushed back 2 months now), and they are gearing up for general release of the BP 6mm American Civil War models, they are holding off until they can actually manufacture them.

Träger B (Peter Strasser), Weser (Carrier on Hipper-class), – no stats for these……
Can confirm that the stats of over 200 ships are in the rulebook….
I doubt very much that warlord will sell the cards separate from the models…. they dont for other systems where there are competing manufactors

It is not need of FAQ, see Vehicle chapter, “Vehicles and norders” paragraph “…if it reaches the table edges, then it move as far as it can and goes DOWN…”

Thank you.
Being in the right mood I did two more, the small R1 – 16 pre war type. Used in Mediterranean, going via Rhone river south. I did them in 39-41 style, just a single 2 cm AA. Later they got two twin ones.

As much as I’d love to see this game being released, I’m not really fitting into any pledge level at the moment beside the smallest one.
Thanks to the change from the initial 2 squad sets to the full range, I could choose from the latest sets I don’t own yet (the resin ones). If the price for 2 squads is quite lower compared to a shop, delivery…[Read more]

invisible officer replied to the topic panzernest rules in the forum Bolt Action 4 years, 11 months ago
I liked the rule suggestions. But as was stated it was a heavy affair and you had to dig a lot. The German army handbook for it gave a lot of rules how to choose the position. Ever in front of a ridge and the earth taken away so that there is no trace to be seen.
The 60° angle limited its use. So normally more than one was in an area, the MG…[Read more]

I waited for others to answer.
You find the Rules in Campaign Battle of France page 96 for a unit of a Kriegsberichtserstatter and a cameraman.

Not a warlord employee but I do help run the facebook group Victory at Sea Wardroom (unofficial) and try and help with questions… so here we go:
The option to put a carrier in deep deployment doesnt alter the number of flights you can deploy – source Matthew Sprange (author of the game), via the VaS wardroom
The ability to rearm on a off board…[Read more]

I mentioned it earlier here but not much response.
I didn’t back it yet.
Apparently everything about the project happens in the closed FB group so hard to see how it will evolved.

Hi Andrew, the Q turret thing on the Nelson & Mogami has already been brought to warlords attention, as has the bombers (like all bar the Betty for the japanese) having lost their 4 DD per attack run limit).
I submitted a list of questions & querries last week however if you write any that you find and email them to info@ warlord games.com we…[Read more]

Nat replied to the topic Playing Surface in the forum Victory At Sea 4 years, 11 months ago
The game is model scale agnostic (ie it doesnt care about the size of your ships) so yeah switching to metric should work.
As to a smallest Imperial size table… well I think a 4 foot square with the starter size fleets should work – if you feel its not quick working say your playing in morning mist and bring the horizon in to 25″ instead of…[Read more]
