Hello everyone,
I am new in the game and forum. I have read the rulebook a couple of times and it’s all highlighted by now. However, I still have a lot of doubts and questions. I have also seen many tutorials on the internet.
I am missing examples. The book sometimes provide some but there should be many more.
Is there a place to see examples…[Read more]

I mean, Missouri on her own is more than a match for 2-3 Kongos
Just the AP power, armor and Damage Dice / Critical Hit output is insane.
I don’t know the point cost for Arizona, but if she’s anything like the NewMex she can deal with two of them no problem.

One of the problems is the generic definition of “rough” ground. Dense woodland, deep mud, sand and rubble are given as examples, and whilst riding a motorbike (particulalry a combination) through sand and mud is not easy it is certainly possible (there are lots of WWII pictures to support this).
Cavalry should not be able to move through dense…[Read more]

Bolt Action latest FAQ:
Page 67, Fixed special rule, fourth paragraph. The sentence should be changed to read as follows:
When ordered to Run, fixed weapons move the normal 12″ over open ground or 6″ over rough ground, obstacles etc.
It is always a good idea to check the latest FAQs and Errata, as many issues have probably been highlighted by…[Read more]

Hi, trying to workout how movement is done for a unit with team & fixed e.g a MMG,
if a run lets you move 12″ as normal and an advance is rotate only (-1 to fire) then how do you move across an obstacle? or through rough ground? or is it not an option?

*although if you manage to get a 6 to hit as its indirect it would be very unsportsman like to pull out the ‘it doesnt say its a heavy weapon’ argument :p
I understand that can be disputes, but to me is simple to resolve.
HE1 then PEN+1, then follow all rules of heavy weapon. Rules says “heavy weapon add a bonus to the roll to damage” and “HE rou…[Read more] -

Hi Marius, the period is probably not as popular as Napoleonic (Black Powder) or Roman Empire (Hail Caesar), but it has still has plenty of people playing it as evidenced by all of the different social media content I see. Warlord are still selling the Pike and Shotte rules, still have a pretty vast stock line for the period, and have brought…[Read more]

Haha, a four Kongo game would be great. If there were some way to play on-line, I’d do it. Missouri, Arizona, Chicago and Northampton would make it a four on four, 1500 pts vs 1500 pts, guns only deathmatch.

Christian, I think the answer to your original question is: nobody knows. The players don’t, because the rules booklet is vague. And I suspect the designers never thought of this gap in the rules. For whatever reason, there are loads of such gaps. IMHO, the best way to approach Victory at Sea is to consider it still in beta; I think of it as a…[Read more]

However, for Aircraft attacking ships, I see no written rationale for using all of the page 8 modifiers EXCEPT that for torpedoes! I’d think it would be all or nothing, and then we could debate what happens with the range modifiers! FWIW, if all of the table is used, a torpedo bomber flight attacking the flank of a non-destroyer would need 5 t…

Maybe I am just paranoid but I see less and less store carry the Japanese boxes. The sculpts are absolutely amazing and also so affordable that I’d be heartbroken if I can’t get even more of them (bought the army starter box and I am really happy with them!). Is the Pike & Shotte line still well supported or how would you say is the health of the…[Read more]
