Thank you 🙏🏻 I would assume that if they are Cavalry Div. you can buy for extra 5 Points each a horse.. I hope someone from Warlord can confirm this..

The only one I could find was 8th SS Cavalry Division Squad, Fortress Budapest p106, can have assault rifles all round and up to 4 panzerfausts but have no access to horses.22nd SS Cavalry Division Squad is on the same page, also no horses, no assault rifles and only 2 panzerfausts.

Dear all,
are there any official unit for a late-war German cavalry? With AR and Pzfst options?
and if Yes, are those official?
best regards,
Timo

Just to agree with what ST said above. It is recommended to get the Armies of Italy and the Axis book. The Fortress Budapest is a campaign book. With campaign books, any scenarios and/or special rules are usually restricted to games played with that campaign book.

You need the Italy and Axis book. The Budapest is scenarios plus a few new units.

Looking to start Hungarians eventually. Do I still need the Italy and Axis book or were the nation rules put in the Fortress Budapest book?
Thanks

A quick historical question. Did Napoleon ever attach units from the middle guard to Line brigades?
Thanks in advance!

@Greg, you may have tripped yourself up with terminology. There is no roll to penetrate, it is a roll to damage.
Penetration (pen) is usually a weapon stat that modifies that roll to damage. In the case of close quarters that pen value us generated by scoring hits (the second sentence in your quote – he rolled 11 hits giving a pen of 11). A…[Read more]

The Cunning Plan and reality
I had an idea to run a narrative Blood Red Skies event in August – and as Adlertag (Eagle Day-the first day proper of the Battle of Britain was 15th August and the nearest available Sunday was the 13th, I was damned well going to do it then. This of course showed an almost Goering like ignorance of reality. Not only i…[Read more] -
Greg replied to the topic Infantry Assaulting Tanks in the forum Bolt Action 2 years, 10 months ago
“An infantry squad of 12 men with anti tank grenades charged a stationary 8+ armor tank. He rolled 11 4’s, 5’s, and 6’s for a total of an 11 penetration. He then made a roll to damage and rolled a 1.”
The second sentence threw me, as he said the roll was damage, not to penetrate. So, 11 + 1, yes penetration failed.

Paul Nettle replied to the topic Infantry Assaulting Tanks in the forum Bolt Action 2 years, 10 months ago
In the example given, the “1” rolled was a penetration roll? 11 Hits plus 1 is 12 so the tank is penetrated. The ‘to hit’ rolls were the 4s, 5s and 6s. Page 113 “Roll a D6 and add the number of hits scored to determine if the vehicle is damaged.
So 11 hits plus 1 on a D6 is 12, vs front armour of 8+, is massive damage and roll twice on the da…[Read more]
