Steeljacket, it’s normal to have ground and weapon scales that are different from minatures scale. BA is strange anyway in having a 1 miniature =  1 soldier and in normal sized units ratio   but guns are normally used as  singles, not batteries.

Sorry I don’t understand. But how do you consider scales other than +/- 1:56?
How do you represent 1.2km on a 6feet table if the miniatures and scenery remain 1:56 scale? It gets all out of scale, how do you make roads, buildings and units that fit 1.2km into just 6feet table (which by the scale of the miniatures is only 100m)?

I just painted up the frames you receive for free from Wargames Illustrated.

They were easy to paint using the techniques suggested in that magazine issue, but I adjusted them to my age old techniques.

Got them done fast and they look EPIC and AWESOME.

It’s been a while since I made up my 1814 Perry drummer – you get an alternate pair of drummer arms :  right arm  hand holding both sticks, left arm open hand. Use these & omit the stick surgery above (or crop the sticks from the alternate right arm).

If I recall, the Warlord metal officier you get with a standard line batallion pack and the original Perry plastic command pack officer are both suitable as is for mixing into a running formation.

I did find in Western Desert book you can build a Commonwealth list which includes using Indian troops. (There was the 4th Indian Infantry Division which had Sikh Regiments and Battalions). So he can use that. I’ll keep looking.
