It’s the One-Shot Weapon rule, pg 72 of the main rule book. As I read it, it works like a Panzerfaust: once expended the soldier then uses his other weapons (if any).

This question has reminded me just how poor the rule books are.
Firstly, no index – this is a good argument for the PDF, not only are they are lot cheaper but you can search them. If starting over, that’s what I would do, but unfortunately I like physical books and have amassed a good collection so when it comes to buy a new one I go…[Read more]

It seems like a pretty easy fix would be WYSIWYG and you can only hit what you can see. Only those that can see a target can shoot at so the reciprocal would make sense and doesn’t add any complexity to the game that I can see.
To repeat what was said earlier, the answer is simple – game balance (it stops you poking one guy out with say a rif…[Read more]

Well I give it a shot. Got some Green Stuff, assembled three 8th Army minis, and went to work.
Looks good.

The German book has the option of a flamethrower team being repack with 2 one-shot weapons.
Now, it would seem from the rules that when the flamethrower is use in a one-shot way, the figure might still remain on the table. But unarmed (?) in this case.
Alternatively, I could see how the rules for depleted flamethrowers means the figure is…[Read more]

Good Nigth..
The “green” rule that allows a check to raise the morale of the inexperienced squad when it suffers the first casualty, but if an inexperienced Soviet unit with said rule benefits from the commissar rule, (NOR ONE STEP BACK) and this when killing one of your soldiers, the question is: That unit is considered to have suffered a…[Read more]

Hopefully they can address this in the 3rd Edition.

Well I give it a shot. Got some Green Stuff, assembled three 8th Army minis, and went to work. Here are the results. I still have to do the final trim and shaping after full cure of the Green Stuff.

I started this rules project a few years ago. I’ve done about 800 points of Jewish militia and Egyptian Army+irregulars, with the latter also working up till the Suez Crisis of ‘56. I’ve also been writing theatre selectors and some scenarios for 1947’s three way mandatory Palestinian conflict and 1948’s battles in Jerusalem. I am gonna do the Ar…[Read more]

Charge the Guns,
Thank you. Yes, I am sure if Warlord does come out with Croats and Cossacks, they would be resin which would work just fine for me. Thank you for your thoughts on the Finnish light horse. I am not too familiar with the Swedish forces of the era, but I see this troop type in a lot of the historical battles.

Hi Dennis – I’m not aware that Warlord have made any comment about Croats/Cossacks, yet. I suspect they would be in resin if they do them as I’m not sure they would go the plastic route for a troop type they might not sell very many of. Maybe they are waiting to see how many 30YW versions of the Epic stuff they sell first? You may need to lo…[Read more]

Yes, I have based my Napoleonic light horse with 4 horses, 5 for heavy so you can immediately see what is what. For ACW 4 seems good.

Hello everyone,
I know that Epic Pike and Shoote is just getting rolling. I have bought into the game and am working on a 30 Year War Imperialist force. My mate is doing Swedish forces. I was wondering about the possibility of down the road Warlord Games would make some Croat and Cossack light cavalry miniatures. They are a big part of the…[Read more]
