The SS Divisional Pionier units had the same OOB the Heer units had. And no special toys. 😉
The “Sturmpionier” is mostly a gamer myth, the units that had that name assigned in WW II for some time are ordinary Pioniere selected for some siege operation like Sewastopol. They got a higher number of assault explosive devices and some special t…[Read more]

Pretty sure that’s not them as their entry says “Often overlooked in favour of the dashing panzers or elite Waffen-SS troops”.
The SS Pioneers are mentioned in the Battle of the Bulge book.

Yes it does: p.87 has the listing for both the 2 and 6 pounders (light and med. AT guns), referring to the British book. The same is true for most of the weapon teams.

I don’t know that there are. Perhaps you mean Sturmpioniere, which are on p.25 of the German 2nd ed. book.

Jaesen – I have the New Guinea book, the 6pdr isn’t in it.

Hi all,
I notice Warlord sell the above model. Which army list does it feature in? I can’t find any reference to it.

Many thanks. That answered a lot of questions.
I’ll invest in the starter armies I think and see if the new edition pops up next year. Are Ghar Empire / Ghar Rebels equal in difficulty to master or is one easier than the other?
I do agree with the Black Guard. I love their look as well. On the other hand the Empire can field so much more Suits. 🙂

Which starter do you guys recommend? And why?
If I was to get one of the current starters it would be the Strike on Kar’A Nine starter. I don’t think that the original one was very balanced or really that much fun. I would actually look at getting one or more of the army boxes. They cost more but you get a better selection of models and you can…[Read more]

<p class=”_1qeIAgB0cPwnLhDF9XSiJM” style=”text-align: left;”>I was interested into getting into the game.
Partially for solo play and the occassional game against a player that does not have an army.
I moved away from the local store so getting regular games in stopped…[Read more] -
Master Chief replied to the topic Vehicle crew stunned in the forum Bolt Action 5 years, 4 months ago
The “crew is stunned” part is just a lead in descriptive. In Bolt Action rule terms you just give the tank 1 more pin, and flip its Order die to “Down” if it has one, or take one out from the bag and give it a “Down” if it does not already have one. This simulates the crew not being able to do anything for the rest of the turn.

So the tank is hit and the crew stunned. How long are they stunned? Rule is kinda vague, they can’t do anything this turn. Do they auto recover next turn? Do they need to make some kinda roll? This has vexed us the last 2 games. Thanks in advance

Eric T Holmes replied to the topic Bren Carrier – Rules clarification in the forum Bolt Action 5 years, 5 months ago
I tend to use the UC Bren Carrier as a weapons mount and thus only have a crew of three in the vehicle – Driver, Gunner, Assistant Gunner. Now, I made my carriers convertible over three armies, Canadian/US, German (obviously a captured vehicle) and, Soviet. Both the Canadian/US and the Soviet are machine gun carriers. Heavy and medium re…[Read more]

Hello people,
The Bren Carrier (Universal Carrier) has a capacity of 5 to transport.
The original purpose of the UC was to carry specialist teams – specifically the Vickers teams.
I was watching a Bolt Action battle report and the player had two UCs for a 10-man squad – the one squad split across two vehicles.
I’ve had a look for some…[Read more]
