Light infantry formation – 1/2 shooting dice rounded up. So for a standard unit, they would roll 2 dice. Of course with BP, it could be any number of places but where in the rules did you find this? Thank-you in advance.

In Chelmsford Bunkers rules summary further below in the Forum, “1/2 shooting dice rounded up”. Can’t find that in any of the rule books. Missed it somewhere?

Thanks, Mike.
It occurred to me that if bases were mounted so that one strip could be removed , 2 bases would be able to make a perfect square…

They are metal; side cutters, craft knives and needle files were all deployed in the conversion. My review of some of their figures is here: https://littlewars.org.uk/wargames/commandpack.html
The figures are produced and sold by Badger Games of Mikwaukee.
I also replaced the hands holding the petrol bombs in one section of the Warlord Games…[Read more]

Is the Regiment Games Naval Party figure a metal one or a plastic one?

Antonio replied to the topic Western Desert: Commonwealth Armies in the forum Bolt Action 3 years ago
the doubt came to me for these two examples shown in the FAQ
When building a force from the Western Desert book, British
and Commonwealth armies get the basic traits from the AoGB
book (i.e. the free artillery observer in lists that allow them, and
the barrage reroll) and then the National Characteristics from the
Western Desert.
Example 1: A…[Read more] -

Hi all
Pag. 112, if I build a New Zelander platoon and choose NOT to use the national characteristic p. 18 of the Armies of Great Britain, do I replace it with ALL four New Zelander national rules? (not one of your choice, but all four).
Thank you

Just realized this game’s been around for many years so kind of silly for a noob to think anything was new. LOL.

Cheers. I had wondered about keeping 1 strip removable , that would allow even 2 bases to make a square..

I converted a Regiment Games Naval Party figure from a Bren gunner to a Boys anti tank rifleman -the gun came from the Bolt Action British desert sprue.
The pictures show him as converted and then painted, the latter has an officer and the sniper as well.

I have had a look at the Easy Army website for a Naval Landing Party army list, and I don’t agree with his version. I have written one https://littlewars.org.uk/wargames/NavalList.html here, and welcome comments.
Having said this I do find the Easy Army setup good, and reasonably easy to use.

Copy all Kar98k. Thanks for the welcome and feedback. I’ve been voraciously watching YouTube batreps to get an idea of the flow of the game. I think I heard someone say they prefer not seeing brightly colored artificial objects on their nice well modeled tables so I get your preference for something flocked and more discrete. Cheers!

Hi Cliff, and welcome to the Bolt Action group.
I like what you did with your BA dials. Funny how a lot of gamers think alike. Back when I first started, I too had made some similar dials to you did, but yours look nicer!
Later though, I started to use markers that would blend in better with the game’s models and figures. You know, it was now…[Read more]

While I don’t game, Epic scale, I have gamed with different base configurations. You and your opponent need to agree what constitutes the way to display a given formation. In the past, three “stand” units displayed a square formation as a “triange”, while two “stand” units displayed it with one stand facing forward and one backward. Given th…[Read more]
