<p>What play area size is recommended.</p>
<p>Looking at play mats and there are 4&#8217;x4&#8242; and 4&#8217;x6&#8242; &#8211; I appreciate that it depends on how big your  games become, but assuming that 4&#8217;x4&#8242; is fine for the starter set how big does the game have to grow before 4&#8217;x4&#8242; is not enough.</p>
<p>Talking WWII piston engines, not Korean jets.</p>

<p>My concern was less about the rigging and more about the ratlines and sails provided for Black Sails.  My understanding is that the ratlines are printed on acetate and that the sails are card or paper.  Was wandering how well they say attached.</p>

<p>Are the sails paper/card or are they a plastic laminate.</p>

<p>Though I agree, for historical accuracy it should be 1 driver and 2 passengers.</p>
<p>But that also begs another question &#8211; in war gaming in general, the Kettenkrad is often depicted as a PAK 36 tow &#8211; but what about the gun crew &#8211; and ammunition.</p>

<p>Standard Infantry Unit &#8211; 6 bases (240mm line frontage) &#8211; even number so can do 6&#215;1, 3&#215;2, 2&#215;3 or 1&#215;6<br />
Standard Cavalry Unit &#8211; 5 bases (250mm line frontage) &#8211; odd number so can do 5&#215;1 or 1&#215;5 &#8211; but that seems okay because attack columns don&#8217;t apply to cavalry<br />

<p>For 28mm the rulebook recommends putting 4 infantry figures in a 2 x 2 pattern on a 40mm x 40mm base.</p>
<p>And then it gives the unit frontages as</p>
<p>Standard 200-250mm (5 to 6 bases)<br />
Large 260-325mm (7 to 8 bases)<br />
Small 120-150mm (3 bases)</p>

<p>You are correct about the LMG though, from memory I used the rifle arms &#8211; but I do prefer not to use prone figures so I tend to have my LMGs being carried or being fired from the hips.  But I have done some prone LMGs.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I get where you are coming from.  The White Scout Car had a rail that went around the perimeter of the whole crew compartment so weapons could be attached at any position and moved if required.</p>
<p>Whether weapons slid easily on that rail or needed to unclamped, removed and clamped is something I don’t know.</p>
