  • Dont really have a favorite list… but I do have a core that I find hard not to take…

    1 x snr (1st) Lt

    2 x 11 man guards with 2 LMGs + 1 Pzf

    1 x Zis3 AT gun

    2 x AT Rifle teams

1 x 12 man inexp rifle squad with AT grenades (these guys are free!)

… I find it hard not to take my MMG team with gunshield… rearly kills much but does upset…[Read more]

  • general rule of thumb for a 4 x 6′ board at the club where I play is make a board that looks like a land mark that would be fought over… be it cross roads, a small village with a church, a river crossing etc

to do that you’ll want 7′ of river with at least 1 bridge and 2 crossings (you want a couple of bends in the river)

    about the same in…[Read more]

No because thats two separte orders…. 1 is a charge & the other is a move

  • just the bridge.. the relavent part is page 3 where it talks about the bridge being the location of the ship

  • Hi Frank,

I’ve put the wardroom FAQ up in its own thread which covers a number of questions… but I’ll stress most are unoffical!!!

However to answer what you’ve asked

Tough – yes local 1 = impossible to shoot down a tough plane… however DP guns can! (the FAQ has a complete breakdown of how AA works)

Carrier points – yes at the moment..…[Read more]

Didnt think artillery could counted as a small team?

but like Master Cheif I hadnt noticed the cost differene…. I dont own any of the small AT guns, prefer to take Zis3s for my artillery

  • @Master Chief – the M3 Scout car has the option of taking 4 pintel mount HMGs with have limited fire acrs in game … off top of my head front + left, front + right, rear + left, rear + right

@Thomas – the HMGs are on the corners of the transport area and whilst theoritically alble to fire accross the loading bay its not that practicle

The change in currancy acceptance and the related exchange rate may not be warlord, but rather the bank that provides the payment portal..

espically as its now been updated to accept applepay & googlepay

I stress may.. .because I dont know which system they use to provide the payment portal

  • @enioch – so you agree with my reading.. thats good!

@d.giessmann – the Val & Kate are in the main rulebook from what I hear 🙂 …theres over 40 pages per nation!… most of the mongoose v2 beta is included…

also some of the US distributors are putting the Sub & MTB boxes up for pre-order … so hopefully we’ll see them at the same time as…[Read more]

British & Canadian beaches at DDay campaign book..

Was supposed to be released about now..but I think/seen to recall seeing somewhere that January is the new release date

No idea if it’s going to have models released..the latest Pacific books haven’t

  • So your saying ignore the dogfight completely?

Note I’m not talking tactics about if you should engage the attacking bomber flight or not ….purely what would happen if you did

  • So a little of history mixed with a bit of game play… using tank veterancy rules as a base idea…here is Nats idea! ™ :p

Tiger fear : 1943 onwards.  All German tanks with an armour value of 8+

If an activating unit can draw LoS to a unit with this rule it must take an order check or change its order to down or run, and must end its…[Read more]

  • So define intresting….

looks / modeling – you’ve got the IFF  late 1944, so you can do a mix of free french in US & British uniforms with US armour + resistance fighters (with IFF arm bands) & supporting SAS / para’s /rangers

    You’ve got British /Free french/dutch/norwegian etc commandos

LRDG (long range desert group) for that raiders with…[Read more]

  • So a question came up on the wardroom today… so I thought I’d see what opions here is!

Scenario – there is a bomber flight (dive / torp /bomber..doesnt matter) thats touching the base of an enemy ship.  Also touching the bomber flight but not the ship (not that would matter) is an enemy flight…

Now RAW doesnt say anything about this…so…[Read more]

  • I think they should take a leaf out of the Victory at sea book…where you set a year for your game..

that way you can put tiger fear as a national rule instead of a vehicle rule – ie 1944 & 1945 applys to all medium and heavy tanks

    just an idea for v3….:p

  • The crew of a transport can use 1 weapon per order…any others need to be used by the tranported squads (note if the squad cant shoot such as medics then they cant use the transports weapons).

It doesnt matter which weapon the tranport crew use… and can change between orders..

If the weapon is attached to the vehicle then its left with the…[Read more]

  • The FAQ is whats been said here and on the FB page…but focused on what has been released (ie the rules manual currently)… which is why theres some things (the Agano class cruisers traits* for example) that arent in it…

Now by Matts own admission the ability to put flights to scout is in the main rulebook and not in the QSR….and goes…[Read more]

  • Hi all,

As we’re waiting for the full rulebook to be released, those of us on the facebook group the (Victory at Sea Wardroom) have put together an FAQ with some of the answers comming from the design studio and others from the original Author.

Whilst its unoffical as we’re not Warlord staff we hope that it helps!

Thanks to Craig the webmaster…[Read more]
