No that is not correct.
pg 83 para 3 “resolve each order (including the officers original order) in turn, finishing each unit’s action before going on to the next, in any sequence you like.”
Unless there’s something in FAQ I’m missing; You’re friend should have activated a single unit, resolved close combat, destroyed the loser as necessary,…[Read more]

The correct method should be roll to hit, roll for damage (6+), then roll on damage table to see what happens.
Soft skins will never roll for superficial damage since that’s for armored vehicles only, also you do not apply the modifiers for shooting at sides and rear to soft skins
Hope this helps!

Hi
On page 83 the 3rd paragraph is saying…. ‘Resolve each order in turn, finishing each unit’s action before going onto the next,’.
In a recent game my opponent had a Captain and ordered two units to ‘Run’ so that they could close assault one of my units ay the same time. He understood that he could use the two units together rather than…[Read more]

Royal Navy Section is in Campaign: Sea Lion, p34. They are Veteran Infantry – if you want to see their stats you can check them on Easy Army, British Army Coastal Defence Reinforced Platoon selector.

Which British units can have a Royal Navy Section attached to it?
Also, what is the cost for each member of the section? Are they the same as other infantry sections (13 pts for Veteran, 10 pts for Regular, and 8 pts for Inexperienced) or are they limited as to what experience level they can be assigned (ex. Airborne sections are Veteran…[Read more]

When a hit (+6) is scored on a soft-skin by small arms, do you roll for superficial on the damage chart (-3) or is it automatically destroyed? Or what is correct damage rule for soft-skin vehicles?

The army lists are available on easyarmy if you want to try your lists out but, officially, no mixing from Axis to Allies. This being said, it’s your game : do with it what you will. Having fun is always more important than adhering to the rules as written in my opinion.

Is there anything in the rules prohibiting the mixture of certain armies? For example, Say you want to make an American army but you want units with the “horror” or “fanatics” special rules so you add German units (like Schreckwulfen) or Soviet units (like Siberian Terrors) because according to your army’s backstory the German and Soviet units def…[Read more]

Hi Peter,
On the preparatory bombardment; we have used some pre-game random roles to potentially add some stamina losses to units considered to have been under a preparatory bombardment. e.g. roll a D6 for each unit, on a roll of 5 or 6 then lose 1 stamina.
On BUAs. These are difficult to take in BP, as I think they should be. We have found t…[Read more]

Well outside of a siege prepapatory bombardments wouldnt really be more than a free round of shooting from the artillery (if in range)…. if your using the skipping shells rules from Clash of Eagles (& I think Albion 2) then I could see a use for it.
FIBUA, this is always hard to get right with abstract rules…by that I mean the risk /reward…[Read more]

I think the Allies should have units with the “fanatics” and “horror” special rules. Germany, Japan and the Soviet Union have ‘em…..why not England and the United States? Why should the villains be only ones with the nightmare fuel and “fight to the death” types?
Welp……..that’s just my way of saying that I want to play as the Americans but I w…[Read more]

guys how many of you use pre battle barrage in BP and if so what mechanisms to ye use to do it.
I have gamed several battles and noticed that unless a BUA is made a mandatory objective from the start then opponents tend to try by pass them rather than take them. Historically they were assaulted so enemy strongpoints weren’t left in your rear…[Read more]
