They are out of Poland . They make a lot of not “40K” Marine & Orc parts ( arms , legs ,heads , personal weapons , artillery etc ) as well as scenic bases for figures . I’m not a 40K guy but my buddies teenage boys are , and they love their bits for conversions . The pieces I’ve seen are well detailed and crisply molded resin . The WW2 fi…[Read more]

invisible officer replied to the topic Fairmile B force in the forum Cruel Seas 3 years, 10 months ago
From the start it was clear that I wanted a model of RA 9, the former ML 306. The only Fairmile B used by the Germans.
It was one of the 18 Fairmile B in the St. Nazaire raid. The petrol engine was the reason for the loss of many. Prone to fire 13 launches are destroyed by coastal guns. The large 2300 litres extra tanks on deck fitted for th…[Read more]

For some time I planned some B in my collection, then Warlord launched some resin ones. But I love scrach building so I gjust bought the RML, my local shop had them had a price below Webstore.
Now I finished them. For example I wanted two in the 1940 TT configuration against Seelöwe. Most got re-converted but 4 took part in St. Nazair…[Read more]

Stuart Harrison replied to the topic Does a officer in a transport effect the transport reserve or flank roll? in the forum Bolt Action 3 years, 10 months ago
Only the transport rolls to enter the table carrying any and all passengers allocated as aboard it at set-up. Yes, the officer’s morale bonus affects the transport. Last bit about the officer’s bonus applying in reserve is specifically mentioned p 116, Vehicles, Transport Vehicles, Units Aboard Transports, last para, first sentence in brackets at the end.

Murlo replied to the topic Confusion regarding Torpedoes, and the Devastating rule in the forum Victory At Sea 3 years, 10 months ago
Thank you for confirming that i got it right, what i meant by “areas can’t be repaired” was that i was referring to the rule that says “Locations with a critical score of 6 and critical hits to Vital systems may never be repaired”. Which i suppose makes sense since if you already suffered the critical level 6 explosion and survived it, at that…[Read more]

Hi Murlo,
short answer is yes you have the right of it on damage… however all Engine, crew & weapon areas can be fixed, its just some of the effects cant be removed. A repaired level basically means drop the level down by one & remove the penalty row entry unless stated that its cant be.
If you roll a 4 or less for level and the ship was a…[Read more]

If an officer is a marked as sitting in a transport (aka, a Vet 1st Lt in a truck), what unit does the roll for reserve or flank marches, and if it’s the transport, does the officer’s morale bonus affect it?
I would think it would not, and the roll would only be made by the transport, but I wanted to check.

Hello, i’m having troubles with the Devastating rule effect. I’ll make a practical example to see if i got it right. I fire 5 torpedoes at a target, and 3 hit. i roll 3 D6’s (the ones get discarded), and roll 1-5-6. That’s 11 damage done to the hull of the ship (ignoring torpedo belts). Now i roll for critical confirm, and get a double 4+, which…[Read more]

Hi – no problem… I was cooking dinner hence rushed reply….
Check out Sonic Sledgehammer or Peter The Wargamer on YouTube. They cover this sort of stuff. Also, bear in mind that cloth fades, gets stained, blankers and tools get lost, stolen, borrowed etc so use some latitude and don’t be a slave to the rivet counters….. enjoy!

Hello to all! I am painting some English WWII figures and I have some questions: What is the color of a blanket roll (?) cast onto the packs?
What is the color of the entrenching tool handle? As most of the forum is made up of Brits, this should be easy to answer! Thanks to all!

Charge The Guns replied to the topic Salvo against charging units. in the forum Pike & Shotte 3 years, 10 months ago
Hi Mark, this same query comes up if a unit gets shaken during a charge. It’s perhaps unfortunate wording, but we play ‘stands its ground’ as ‘carry on’. I’m pretty sure this is the intention as it is the best result you can get. (There may have been a clarification of this back in the early days of the rules, but I don’t remember for sure.)

If a unit has salvo, it will cause the targeted unit to immediately take a break test is a casualty is inflicted. What happens if a unit is charging and a unit uses salvo against it during its closing fire and the break test results in a “stands it ground”? Does the unit finish its charge or is it stopped?
