Nat replied to the topic Rules Question – units of light mortars V single target & PINs in the forum Bolt Action 6 years, 6 months ago
The crux of the question is then, do the mortars count as separte units when firing?
Because the rules are clear, you only take PINs once per firing unit – at the highest no. available ie 2 flamerthrowers is only +3 PINS not +6

I believe the target unit only takes the maximum Pims from any weapon being fired by that squad.
much like targeting an infantry squad with a tank firing HE, they would just get the HE pins, and not an additional pin from any MMGs etc

Ok, so light mortars in a unit (eg Japanese Grenadiers or the French rifle grenade unit) can all target different enemy units. In which case all those units take D2 PINs.
Now what happens if all my mortars (3 in the case of the japanese grenadiers) target the same unit?
Is it D2 PINs because all shooting happens at the same time so you apply t…[Read more]

Hi Carl,
As You know we recently took measure to protect our customers and staff from the COVID19 situation, and this will indeed have a knock on effect on all orders.
We are hoping that we can send Stalingrad out to pre-order customers on the 30th, but in the current climate that may very well be delayed, particularly if we have to extend…[Read more] -

Steeljackal replied to the topic Bolt Action Ground Scale in the forum Bolt Action 6 years, 6 months ago
If you use 28mm miniatures (official scale for Bolt Action / Warlord), then vehicles and scenic element (ground / table) scale is +/- 1/56.
That said, the range of weapons is completely out of range (the useful range of a 36-inch sniper, scaled to reality is 51 meters?!?!?).
On the scale of the distances traveled by infantry and vehicles I do not…[Read more] -

I don’t understand how MMG works in Firefight.
A) I attack a model, throw 5 dices to a single model, at least one dice hits the model, I can attack second model within 6” reducing the number of shots by 1, repeat.
B) I attack a model, throw 1 dice to a single model, if dice hits the model I can continue second dice to same model or another…[Read more]

Master Chief replied to the topic Shooting From Cover Question in the forum Bolt Action 6 years, 6 months ago
I think it means your target gets the protection of cover if less than 50% of the models in your unit are at the edge of the cover. Best example to visualise this is a wall … if only 2 men out of a 10-man squad is touching the wall, then your target gets the bonus from the wall.

1st off sorry if these questions have been asked before, So I have my copy of the rulebook (with a Kiesmarine officer on the bottom right front corner) and my Japanese starter fleet is on order….
However – the starter box comes with 6 suicide boats but the rule book says you should only take 1 unit of 3! whats the point in having 6?
Then the…[Read more]
