    @Ian
    According to EasyArmy.com, ”Reinforced Platoon” can do that… I guess Volks grenadier are not a good counter against these fanatics… xD

    @Nat Thanks. It’s not easy to find correct English terms/words for things what have no (direct from English) loan words (I am from Finland).

    Thanks!

    so all I’ll need to adjust will be the movement ranges.

    I got one time given a tip for basing 1/72 infantry onto washer/slug/tray/clout/medal (or is the correct word for the thing in English something like ”spacer” or ”socket”) one can buy cheap for a pouch of 100-200 pieces. Not sure if he meant M6 or M10 in machine engineering language…

    For movement adjustment I bet it will be somewhat either halved, or 2/3rd of the originalmovement scores.

    I got this random thought popping into my mind in past two weeks; ”How to make more of the hex maps of other warzones/-theaters?”

    You are welcome.

    I know that feel of using other written rules, as I personally prefer the “experimental rules of alternate Finnish” for ’47 (due to the official ’47 Finns feeling more like “Germans with forest paint/texture” instead of being their own faction with own goals and agenda).

    Further more, using BA 2nd ed doesn’t sound that bad of an idea… since K’47 rules are kinda “1.5 ed.”

    Good thing that the ebooks are cheaper than the hardbacks, and faster to get.

    In current up-to-date errate of K47 “fist” is removed from “assault” special rules of Automated Mobile Platform.

    “AMPs are treated as armored vehicles for damage purposes so if penetrated, roll on the vehicle damage table.” – K47 Errata, Updated May 04 2020.

    The difference between super-heavy AT (SH-AT) and heavy rail gun (HRG) is that SH-AT shares same rules what other AT guns have (being one with longest range and highest PEN value out in the AT gun line), while HRG is a rail gun…

    errrmmm…

    HRG is like SH-AT without “HE D3” and cannot suffer PEN drop for shooting in a long range… and after each shot a D6 must be rolled, on a 1 the weapon may only fire at half it’s normal PEN value (rounding up) in the following turn. Further more, Rail Guns can collapse buildings (requires 2D6 roll for +11 to collapse a building).

    I believe the reason for SH-AT having “HE D3” is because it is an “AT gun”… and AT guns are for killing armored targets than mere infantry. Howitzer artillery cannons are more for “softening” it’s targets with their high HE D6+ dice rolls, due to their bigger payloads (155mm etc. compared to Tiger’s 88).

    So there ya have it.

    Well… I can only guess reason being, as you said, because ”only villains use horror…” …and Allies want to have their ”Hero image”…

    Hmmmm, I am currently not having any (yet)… but I’m thinking about going 50:50.

    At first, I’ll need to gather more interest (there are just ”two of us” currently interested to start) for the system with Core rules book played with ”available proxy models” at my local ”Figurine Games Assossiation”, since it will come cheaper to make group orders for the sets (and my local ”hobby store” provides only the rules books at the moment)…

    That is a nice scenario idea there, sir. 👍

    I’ve had personally found an interesting podcasted scenario game of K47, where the campaign’s story plot was something between the lines;

    ”Germany and Japan are plotting on having Japanese scientists and engineers sneaked into Germany for improving the rift-tech of German scientists. The plan was to transport the scientists and engineers on super dreadnought Amagi with a Company of Japanese Marines as their escorters, what sailed by North ice sea and stopping at Finnish harbour in Petsamo (an ”arm” on Finland’s North). Unfortunately, the British and American Intelligence had caught wind on this plan, and sent their task forces through Norway with the help of Norwegian resistance fighters. As an extra, the Soviet has renewed their aggression campaigns towards Finland. Thus the campaign is a race between Allied forces and the Axis, where Axis forces try to reach Helsinki, where the German warships are waiting for their pick up, while the Allied forces are trying either to capture the scientists and engineers or make sure they won’t leave Finland alive. (And the Soviet forces are there to just annoy the Finnish forces, cutting possible supporting escorters from the Japanese.)”

    Listening at the podcasts of this made out scenario does indeed point out that with little planning, it is possible to bring factions who othervice are far from eachother together (like Japanese into Europe in this podcasted scenario).

    Grrrrreetings from East Finland!

    I am a Finn from a Finnish Eastern provinces.

    As a member of my local ”Figurine Games Assossiation”, I got this year interested to Warlord Games miniatures through one well made stopmotion animation in Youtube (”Beyond Gates of Antares”, FYI).

    After inspecting the websites and webstore of Warlord Games, I have discovered how easy it actually can be with one series’s free QuickStart rules PDF to assemble a demo game for at least one of the games featuring ”Bolt Action game mechanics”.

    Thus I gathered what I had available for ”proxying” and held a demo game one wednesday at the assossiation’s ”Gaming Bunker”. That day, sadly, had just a few members in there (there were four of us that day, two were having a 40k match, third was there for for pulling a demo game of ”Vikings and Saxons”, and me demonstrating ”Bolt Action” game mechanics with Beyond Gates of Antares QuickStart rules and proxy minis).

    I did get one interested to try out, and we concluded the mechanics themselves good for future planning. The two of us started to take a further look of Warlord Games’s products of ”Bolt Action kin”, and concluded to go for Konflikt ’47.

    As it is for now, we desided to get the Core rules book of K47 for starters, and make more demo game introduction for growing our small group of interested, and later on making a group order for the models.

    Personally, my second motivator (next to the gaming mechanic with gaming pieces available to be used in more than one game (namely K47 and ”Bolt Action”) for starting collecting WLG gaming figures is for my personal little ”stopmotion experiment” (I am a student in ”media material creation” after all… 😂).

    Thanks for having me!
