1. Does it have a transport capacity? Is it taken in a transport slot? If yes to both, it’s a transport and suffers the transport’s draw backs.

Firstly, thanks to Lorenzo for helping me get on the forum.
I have now played two games using v3.
and I am relieved to say that the game is still fun to play, and for me, hasn’t lost its mojo.

Barrage or any indirect that hits a building /unit in a building then tests to see which floor it explodes on! – You can either target empty building OR units within building, but you cant target buildings that have units inside. (gameplay reasons)

Is there and official Quick Reference Sheet for v3 doing the rounds somewhere and available for download? Or does someone have one? I know I can just photo copy the one in the book and then laminate it but it always ends up looking terrible. I prefer a pdf that prints properly and the I can laminate it.

Large calibre FTW. The small amend mentioned above works well for howitzers and artillery barrages in particular. That said, I am still not entirely sure what to do with a barrage hit on a building.

“All these transport vehicles MUST have the Recce special rule, or must be given the Recce special rule at +10 points per vehicle, even if their entry does not normally allow this option.”
No wriggle room, but that last bit covers your 251/1.

Even the rules seem to discourage their use, i.e., impassable terrain. They seem very GW and V3 seems to have gone even further to encourage ruins in place of buildings given the HE rules. Given the buildings in the store, this seems hard to understand.
Do people use them?

Rather then starting a new newbie topic i spotted your response by searching for “recce transport”
So am I understanding it right that Recce platoons can use normal transports and not special recce ones?

“Weapons cannot be fired indirectly by a unit that was in Ambush that turn – indirect fire takes time”. Nothing stops you putting your mortar in ambush, but you can’t do anything with it FROM ambush (except go Down if shot at).
