Nanashi started the topic Homebrew/Houserules: Thoughts on adding these to partisans? in the forum Bolt Action 3 years, 6 months ago
Any reasons to not give Partisans access to the the following vehicles?
- Light Truck (Per Armies of Japan, identical to US/Lend Lease 3/4th ton truck and Sealion’s civilian van in all but name. 31pts for 8 men transport)
- Heavy Truck (Per US Mack Heavy Truck. 63 points for 24 men)
- Motorboat (Per Sea Lion. Waterborne at 20 points for 6 men)

OK. Replacing the two trucks with a light truck (can still carry both heavy mortars to get them into better position if need OR bring the Grenadiers OR officers forward quickly if needed for an objective) and heavy mortar+spotter brought the list to exactly 1000 points.

What models do you want to see next for the French? Going to exclude plastic infantry as I think we all want that. For me it’s the Laffely 10s need a small transport for my DLM

Given your plan of holding the line and blasting with the heavy stuff, I would suggest the trucks are not needed. And since you have gone for 2 platoons, why not make use of that and buy a 2nd mortar to really add to your plan?

Looking for how to best use the last few 43/1000 points. All units regular unless otherwise specified. Idea was to hold line with inexperienced infantry (who have a 56.4% chance of turning regular when losing a man in presence of a political officer, making an enemy reluctant to attack if they don’t have the firepower to take down a lot of models…[Read more]

Nanashi started the topic Model for HMS Serapis/Serapis/Sérapis? in the forum Black Seas 3 years, 6 months ago
As a relatively well known ship that was in British, US and French service at various points, the Serapis seems an obvious choice of ship to use, but I don’t see any dedicated model for it. What model should be used?

Wow, thank you so much for your kind words and your support for the channel!
A Judge would be really cool to paint in the future! I have a lot of other stuff planned, but I’ll definately add Judge Dredd to my list of future projects.

Not sure how to attach pictures.
The kurzer 8 cm Granatwerfer 42 Team – figures from the German Heer Grenadiers and maybe Blitzkrieg sets. Mortar is a 1/76 Matchbox mortar shortened and slightly detailed. The Mortar bomb might be a British PIAT round (it was in the bits box.

That sounds very cool Allan . Do you have any pictures to share ? I think SOLIDO metal military vehicles would work with BA as they are close to 1/56 IRC . Of course when they were available in stores I was building 1/35 scale kits , the only one I managed to find at a swap meet is an AMX 13 tank , nice body detail but lousy tracks IMO .
