Mike Penberthy started the topic Axis Army List – Points Query – Platoon Cmder Schwertruppen Officer in the forum Konflikt '47 8 months, 1 week ago
Are the points for the Platoon Commander Schwertruppen Officer in the Axis Army List for both Regular and Veteran correct??
The cost seems too cheap when compared to the standard officer (armed with a pistol)
Std officer (Regular) cost of 30 points whilst a Schwertruppen Officer (in Power armour and armed with an Assault Rifle) is 32…[Read more]

Mike replied to the topic Stop the Madness – Heroically over-sized Miniatures. in the forum Bolt Action 8 months, 2 weeks ago
Perhaps a different perspective from someone who has been gaming and painting miniatures for over 50 years. When I started gaming, figures were 1:72 scale (around 20mm tall and skinny), which is a bit short, since it translates to a human being under 5 ft tall. Later, models bulked up to 25mm and this scale dominated in the 70s and 80s. Then 28…[Read more]

<p style=”text-align: right;”>I am gonna hazard a guess what you’re looking for isn’t live yet. Unless they maybe meant the army list which just went live.</p>
Could be the stater guide won’t go live until pre-orders start shipping in full for the new K’47 sets. Also side question from me, if you have the starter, what is the base size for the…[Read more]

Do rules that turn off infiltrate from Snipers, Observers, and Spotters (e.g. Hungarian Roving Patrols, Partisan Home Country, etc.) also turn off infiltrate for things like Soviet Anti-Tank Teams, Soviet Scouts, or Japanese Suicide Anti-Tank Teams or are they specifically only vs. Snipers, Observers, and Spotters?

The token is a model or marker and is placed 18″ from the target in any direction (it even makes reference to using a single agreed point on the model/marker for measurement at the end of the paragraph your quote is taken from).

Page 116: RESOLVING THE WARPLNE ATTACK ”First of all, place a suitable token 18” away from the intnedend target…”
Question: Can I place the tolken 360 degrees around the target, or do I draw a line between the observer and the target and then measure 18” from the target?
Even a year after its publication, I am still surprised at how…[Read more]

Multiple HE hits only yield a single set of pins, see p100, Weapons, HE (High Explosive), Multiple HE Hits, second para. The pins from HE (or other multiple pin weapons) replace the standard single pin for scoring hits on a target unit, they’re not in addition.
“I then fire the hmgs at the same target, hit and roll to wound” shows a…[Read more]

Mike replied to the topic I believe that the PIAT should be able to use indirect fire in the forum Bolt Action 8 months, 3 weeks ago
Interesting. I am not sure the “indirect” fire really works. Are spotters really calling in fire to Piat teams?
Instead, it seems like you just want to fire at targets over 12″ range up to 30″ range and treat it as a HE (1″) indirect fire shot when it comes to…[Read more]

i recently received my copy of the starter set, and I’m excited to get going, but i do have a question. there is a flyer in the box about a free getting started guide (field manual), but the link doesn’t work. Is the site not up yet, or am I doing something wrong?

Question using M15 (2x hmg 1 heavy autocannon). Against infantry, if I fire the autocannon and score 2 hits, I place 2 1″templates adjacent to each other and roll to wound the appropriate number of figures. Do I get pins for each hit or just for 1? Assuming the infantry unit survives, I then fire the hmgs at the same target, hit and roll to wound.…[Read more]

Can a Forward Air Observer spot for a mortar team and then call in an Airstrike in the same turn? The FAQ says that a spotter/observer can only spot for one “Indirect Fire weapon” per turn, but I can’t find any reference to an Airstrike as Indirect Fire (in fact, the definition of IF on p.101 is “weapons that shoot HE shells indirectly” – an…[Read more]

Tom started the topic I believe that the PIAT should be able to use indirect fire in the forum Bolt Action 8 months, 3 weeks ago
There is plenty of documented evidence of the PIAT being used as regular mortar as well as an anti-tank solution, with the attached picture showing a British soldier demonstrating the correct method of utilising the PIAT in this manor. Note the white stripe down the spine of the weapon, this was used as a rough aiming guide for indirect fire.
