Howdy John!  I think the idea is that the Partisans are using armor they captured from the Germans.  I doubt either the US, Canadian or British militaries were handing over any tanks to Partisans.  Just one guy’s $.02….

I was looking through the options for the Partisans in terms of tanks. They are allowed and +9 armoured tank or less at inexperienced training level. But the app seems to be missing a lot of tanks. I can’t seem to see any Sherman most Panzers. I would like to run the old ball multi turret German tank they used in the early days of the war.

Howdy Mike!  This is just based on my experience as a light infantryman.  Generally speaking, LMG teams don’t move around by themselves, they’re usually attached to some other unit; either attached to a squad to beef up a squad-level mission, or with the other LMG team and a fire team for security as part of the support element in a p…[Read more]

Has anyone created a profile for a two-man LMG independent unit with the option to add a third man?  I think they would make sense in some cases like a partisan command or commando command, where heavier equipment was less available and mobility was more important.  It’s negative would be 4 shots vs 6 shots, but its positive would be the ability t…[Read more]

  • Hi Stuart,

Thanks for taking the time to reply. That makes sense.

  • From the FAQ:

“Page 147 “The special abilities of officers and other HQ units
mounted on transports work as normal, as long as they are being
transported in soft-skinned or open-topped armoured transports.” Does
this mean that an observer in an open-topped or soft-skinned transport
can call air strikes and artillery barrages?

    No, they cannot do…[Read more]

  • Can someone tell me if a Forward Artillery/Air Observer can call in the barrage/attack when mounted in an open topped or soft skinned vehicle?

If he can can he still do so if the vehicle has advanced? or if the vehicle has run?

Page 147 does say officers/HQ units aboard transports work as normal so I’m guessing its OK…..but call it in after…[Read more]

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Air/arty observers have actual clarity in the rules for when in vehicles: they can’t be issued a “Fire” order and as such cannot call thier strikes from inside a vehicle. They can still be used to spot for artillery though, so have a serious use case especially with things like nebblewerfers.</p>

Can you clarify if a forward air/artillery observer can call in the attack if mounted on an open topped vehicle? If so can he still do so if the vehicle has advanced? Ran?

Sorry not looked at this forum for a few weeks…

Have we (the wardroom) looked this aircraft – yes
is it worth it – not really I’m afaid
reason is that rate of fire isnt really taken into account … at best it would be a flight the same as the other B25s but with MTBs light gun

  • One thing I like  to do , is open up the hatches that are molded closed . A lot of the newer kits are staring to have separate hatch covers but the older stuff is sadly lacking .

  • Cool .  I did something similar converting the Puma to a 234/3 with the  Warlord 251/9 sprue they always seem to have on a half price sale . In fact I grabbed all those 251 sprues on a “just might need ut one day ” kind of thing

  • Here was an easy kit-bash I did sometime ago. I had this extra 20mm turret from a Rubicon Models kit, and thought, “Hey, SdKfz234/1”, so a tweaked it to fit my 1:56 scale plastic Puma (SdKfz234/2) kit by Italeri/WG. Yes, nowadays, you can get the Sdkfz 234 and Variants kit from Rubicon Models, and with the 280048 expansion kit, you can also build…[Read more]

  • Cheers guys for the responses – that makes a lot more sense – I didn’t think to consider it meant adding to the staff rating/reducing the roll. Thanks all for helping me, greatly appreciated – now I can get back to chucking my game (if rash) cavalry at their French counterparts in the Peninsula!

  • hello there

Sadly no , I brought a set a long while back thinking they would feature in the  rules but no , nor are their any rules for Druids , although they are mentioned in some of the supplements I did save the rules for war dogs before the old forum crashed

  • If you really want to play Gurkhas – you have the “Gurkha Section” on page 237 of the main rule book. In that section they have “Tough fighters and Scary Blighters” rules as place holders until the Armies of the Commonwealth book comes out next year. Unfortunately, you can only are two dudes with SMGs in the Gurkha section.

  • Yes but what exact nations and units I don’t know, seems the British Raj/India will be there with its Gurkhas. Warlord put out this release date map; Armies of the Commonwealth should be out in Q3 2026
