  • Howdy Danielius!

Just noticed your post, sorry for the late reply.  I just did some quick research in my printout of the K47 pdf and you’re right.  I’m gonna check with the local game store owner, who’s also a ranked Bolt Action player.  I’m thinking that with the standard Schwerefeld Projektor being mounted on PUMAs, PzIVs and Panthers, and a Th…[Read more]

  • I had occasion to play K47 again yesterday and I was reminded how stupid the rules are concerning Panzerfausts and ATRDs.  I double-checked with the more knowledgeable players concerning errata I might’ve missed, since I’m kinda IT challenged.  No corrections yet.  I had a five-thing squad of Nachtalben.  I chose to arm them with Panzerfausts, so…[Read more]

    Howdy Ghettotech!

I’m on the road, so I don’t have my rulebooks handy.  IIRC, in Bolt Action, all units with FLAK trigger automatically, no matter what their dice status, including friendly units.  ‘Course I could easily be wrong.  Yeah, there’s very few actual K47 units with the FLAK capability, but that’s why you include Bolt Action units.  The…[Read more]

    Howdy Nat!

Thanks for the response and the info on where rules are.  It’d be nice if rulebooks could contain all the info in one place….

Those may be the rules.  They make no sense to me.  I get that Warlord Games wants to sell lotsa the new Allied jump mechs and Fireflies, but coming from Reserve and being able to basically land anywhere on…[Read more]

OK, I’ve been playing Version 2 for a while now.  We have a league going at White Knight Games.  I’ve got a question that I haven’t been able to get a satisfactory answer for.  When the Falkes, and Fireflies, and various Jump Mechs come in from Reserve and are landing anywhere on the playing field, do units with the Flak ability shoot at th…[Read more]

I can’t speak to the “app”, John.  I’m just an old flip-phone guy….

Howdy Nat!  My contention is that LMGs are belt-fed.  A BREN is magazine-fed…

A LMG has a crew of 2, is belt-fed, is air-cooled, is fired from a bipod.  An MMG has a crew of 3, is belt-fed, is fired from a tripod. Some WWII MMGs were water-cooled.  LMGs and MMGs fire rifle caliber ammo.  An HMG fires a much heavier cartridge, something in the…[Read more]

Howdy John!  I think the idea is that the Partisans are using armor they captured from the Germans.  I doubt either the US, Canadian or British militaries were handing over any tanks to Partisans.  Just one guy’s $.02….

Howdy Mike!  This is just based on my experience as a light infantryman.  Generally speaking, LMG teams don’t move around by themselves, they’re usually attached to some other unit; either attached to a squad to beef up a squad-level mission, or with the other LMG team and a fire team for security as part of the support element in a p…[Read more]

  • Howdy Darin, John!

Yeah, I just checked my Armies of Great Britain 3rd Edition, and there’s no listings for any of the other Commonwealth nations.  I “assume” this will be coming later or perhaps is out on a PDF….

  • NICE stuff, Jim!  I don’t model anymore.  I was out of gaming for nearly 30 years, so I don’t have paints, brushes, etc. anymore, and my eyesight is fading with age.  These days I pay the talented ones to produce my gaming gear.  I’ve picked up sprues, stowage kits and bits and send them along with models to my guy, Dustin, in TN.  Generic mini…[Read more]

Howdy Bob!  I agree with the idea of fielding the experimental models.  As a German player, I’d like to use the Katchen, an APC version of the Hetzer, the Kugelblitz, and the upgraded Ostwind/Wirbelwind; twin 50mm autocannons in a turret on a Panther chassis….

  • Makes sense to me, Caleb….

  • No problem, Bob.  I complain a bit about firearms, ’cause I’m under the impression that pretty much no one at Warlord Games seems to know how they actually work.  IMO, these errors seem to always benefit the Allied players, at the expense of the German players.  One of my contentions is that magazine-fed guns, like the BREN, Lewis, ZB26, Nambu, ar…[Read more]

  • Howdy Bob!

If you look close, you’ll see my initial post was from two years ago, referring to Konflikt Version 1.  Yeah, IMO, it’s gotten totally out-of-hand in Version 2.0.  Now all these countries that never even had a real belt-fed LMG in WWII suddenly have one on every single armored suit.  And there’s a buncha special exceptions so now th…[Read more]

  • Howdy Mike!

IIRC, some of the Version 2.0 scenario books have provisions for playing “Special” characters/historical figures.  IDK if this was deliberate on Warlord Games part to link the miniatures with the game, but it seems like it.  I’d imagine it’s the same idea behind the KELLY’S HEROES models and miniatures.  Just one guy’s $.02….

  • Howdy Jeff!

Warlord Games is a British company.  IMO, it’s just all part of standard policy to screw the German player, in favor of the Allies, particularly the British.  Why did the cost of a Panzerfaust go from 5 to 15?  Why do certain Russian units get to have Panzerfausts, they didn’t produce them?  What happened to “Tiger Fear”?  Why is the…[Read more]

    Howdy John!

    Here’s a couple that I have;

  • Ah, so basically you just wanna be silly/argumentative.  Who cares about “fire 5 mags full auto and see which one still shoots without cooking off”?  Who cares how long the barrel is?  That has absolutely nothing to do with the simple defining characteristics that determine an automatic rifle.  Probably the best automatic rifle made for any kin…[Read more]
