Are the decal sheets a single decal / transfer that needs cutting up, or are they individually printed on the sheet?
Many Thanks

Thank you, Thats perfect. Adding a model with an MMG to the cargo area seems like the way to go.

Depends on which country, and of course which model. For example, the American truck (2½ ton 6×6 Truck CCKW-353) from Rubicon Models can be assembled with or without the MG.
Now, contrary to popular Bolt Action army lists, most trucks would not have an MGs, so it is not surprising that models do not include these bits as an option. That being…[Read more]

Stuart Harrison replied to the topic NCO acting as a Loader in the forum Bolt Action 2 years, 8 months ago
NCOs are specifically prevented from becoming loader for a squad based team weapon.
MRB, p73, Weapons, Weapon Special Rules, Team Weapon, Squad Based Team Weapons, third sentence – ‘Choose which model becomes the loader – you can pick any model in the squad except the NCO…’
As written, there should be one weapon with no loader to comply with…[Read more]

Interesting question Mark! On the one hand, an NCO shouldn’t shirk helping out with his unit’s work. On the other hand, he’s not running his unit if he’s doing a Private’s job of sticking another shell into a PIAT or feeding belts into an LMG. Sounds like this unit needs a ninth man or some weapon is undermanned….

May an NCO act as a loader? This is very important when looking at the British parachute diversion squad (pg 138 Overload) that starts with 8 men (7 men and an NCO, per errata) and 2 piats and 2 lMG both that would require a loader. There does not seem to be enough men to fire the weapons unless the NCO is also a loader.

If your unit wasn’t hit it shouldn’t suffer pins. If the round went off on the floor below they were not hit. I would keep it simple. At least the building is hit on a 2 next time.

Sorry if this has been asked before but I can’t seem to get the forum topic search function to work. When you hit a building with say a mortar and the round crashes through to the ground floor so not effecting the enemy on the first floor. Do these guys still suffer a pin(s)? Thanks

That seems like a fair spread of ranges coljack. If I was an American player, I’d expect to be getting a little more outa my M2s….
There’s also the firepower of the semiauto rifles. I’d HATE to be the guy with a 98K, trading shots with either of the M1s….but too much detail, start losing playability. That be the kinda detail in a sq…[Read more]

Anyone got ideas on how to do it, what parts to use?

One solution would be to adjust the ranges to LMG: 30″, MMG: 36″ & HMG 42″. Having commanded a scout unit that had both MMG (M60) & HMG (M2 HB), I can tell you that the HMG’s longer effective range was very real and mattered. On the other hand, the developers often simplify things for game-play purposes – such as giving all rifles the same r…[Read more]

Howdy Stuart! I found this on WE ARE THE MIGHTY;
“Unlike the dog training programs of the Army, Navy, and Coast Guard, the Marine Corps dogs were trained exclusively for combat roles. Being a strictly combat organization, the Corps had no interest in training dogs unless they contributed directly to killing the enemy or saving Marines. This…[Read more]

“One a different note, how do you feel about LMGs, MMGs and HMGs all having the same range in the games?”
Machine gun ranges are a problem, partly due to attempting to fix LMGs being underpowered without changing the points from first edition, and partly because of compression on a 4’x6′ table with heavy artillery on the same table as small…[Read more]

They cost 5 points more than a normal veteran, one point of that is tough fighter (most likely on the basis of the dog), get a rifle or SMG as modelled (another 3 points if you go the SMGs), and they get the doubled detection radius against hidden units. If you go adding more to them they become badly under costed. The fluff talks about them being…[Read more]

Howdy Stuart! Just found this. I don’t have EMPIRE IN FLAMES. This sounds kinda bogus to me. IIRC, USMC War Dogs are “attack dogs”, they primarily used Dobermans. An “attack dog” IS a weapon, at least in close combat, IMHO. If I’m the average WWII Japanese soldier, at 5′ 3 1/2″ and 120lbs, I don’t know that I wanna hand-to-hand a Dober…[Read more]
