P131, Playing a Game of Bolt Action, Scenario Special Rules, Setting up Observers and Snipers, first para, first sentence establishes that the set up rules are the default ‘Unless players wish to agree otherwise…’.
Same heading, third para, first sentence states that units in reserve can’t use their special set up, then goes on to say those…[Read more]

If scenario is like “tanker has to escape from East to West”, just deploy 2 or 3 MTBs in a row, their bows at 90 degrees to the tankers move direction.
In your turn, fire torpedos, some directly to tanker, some 10-20 cm away from the the tanker’s bow.
Hits are 90% for sure. You may have duds. If no damage, repeat torpedo firing in your next…[Read more]

Nothing stops you putting the dog mine team in any transport, and as markers the actual dogs won’t count against transport capacity any more than a panzerfaust would.
Your calculations about threat distance sounds right to me – transport advances, unit advances out of transport next available dice (or later if you’re feeling cocky) and fires an…[Read more]

Some of warlord do read these forums…. however if you email info@warlordgames.com then one of the service guys will pass the question on to the rules team*… you should get an offical answer then.
*if they get asked enough they should put it in to the FAQ – they have with the VaS ones that I’m aware of

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Haha, okay, that is unsatisfying, to say the least. So chances are bad that someone from WG will react or even read here, right?</p>

oh I agree totally… I think consistancy and clarity* is important between books (& factions in a game!)…. well…. lets just say I made my point clear to one of warlords authors**…. (and similarly warlord themselves, never did get an answer to that email about proof reading in their books :p )
*as in not needing a FAQ /errata to find out…[Read more]

As for the Errata for the campaign books: to be honest, sounds like cheap excuse from WG to not include campaign books there. (In fact, they included them as well then 😄) I see, that WG doesn’t want bigger discussions on the campaign rules, but when there are obvious errors and critical lacks, they should be addressed there as well (what they…[Read more]

The issue is a mix of …. warlord dont have the same authors for the campaign books, os htere is little consistancy between the books – either rules or units &warlord try not to FAQ/Errata the campaign books
So, not having the books in question I would go with
1) IF its purchased as a single unit then it provides one order die & is activated…[Read more] - Load More
