I was able to ask the Author my question:
Me: “La Haye Sainte Final assault scenario, how do you count the independent units toward brigade or army breaking?
Seems like if the independents don’t count for those at all, the French can only win by taking La Haye Sainte.”
Adrian McWalter: “…all the ‘British’ units count as one brigade in to…[Read more]

Now I dont have epic BP…..
But independant units shouldnt count towards brigades breaking but SHOULD count towards to overal army…. ie I’d count them as an unbrakeable brigade of mauraders who’s brigade commander is your army commander.
Also the French wining by taking the LaHaye Sainte only fits with the history of the battle.

Can anyone recommend what elastic rigging would be suitable for the Black Seas ships.
There are plenty of rigging products sold for model aircraft and ships but I’m not sure what thickness I should use.

Stuart Harrison replied to the topic Artillery Observers in the forum Bolt Action 2 years, 12 months ago
No. He’s still a unit in the game and can be used for other tasks, such as sitting on an objective, attacking other units (shooting or assault), boarding a transport to man a weapon etc.

After an off-board artillery barrage has been called in and executed, is the observer removed from the game?

Hi I note as usual,
Bugger all responses from WLG here or on the much larger FB group.
For heavens sake, either commit or withdraw. As it is, your position helps none of us.
I had Qs other also, get your act together.

I think it would have to be dependent on the scenario; there are several instances in the ECW where a “wing” of an army contained both cavalry and infantry. If you want to restrict a Commander to one arm only, then you will need to add in some extra commanders, which might skew the game, as it would perhaps make one army a bit more likely to act…[Read more]

I think that the different types of commanders were devised on the assumption that often commands were composed of primarily one troop type, and that some armies had less or more effective commanders for either foot or horse. An example is the Ottomans where the infantry commander have a relatively poor 7 command, and the cavalry a better 8. T…[Read more]

In the rules, commanders are classed and either Infantry/artillery or as cavalry commanders. This suggests that cavalry cannot be commanded by the former and infantry/artillery by the latter, although it is never explicitly stated. That seems to hold true in that all the battles in the rule book, until you get to the battle for Worcester. Th…[Read more]
