Cool . I did something similar converting the Puma to a 234/3 with the Warlord 251/9 sprue they always seem to have on a half price sale . In fact I grabbed all those 251 sprues on a “just might need ut one day ” kind of thing

Here was an easy kit-bash I did sometime ago. I had this extra 20mm turret from a Rubicon Models kit, and thought, “Hey, SdKfz234/1”, so a tweaked it to fit my 1:56 scale plastic Puma (SdKfz234/2) kit by Italeri/WG. Yes, nowadays, you can get the Sdkfz 234 and Variants kit from Rubicon Models, and with the 280048 expansion kit, you can also build…[Read more]

Cheers guys for the responses – that makes a lot more sense – I didn’t think to consider it meant adding to the staff rating/reducing the roll. Thanks all for helping me, greatly appreciated – now I can get back to chucking my game (if rash) cavalry at their French counterparts in the Peninsula!

hello there
Sadly no , I brought a set a long while back thinking they would feature in the rules but no , nor are their any rules for Druids , although they are mentioned in some of the supplements I did save the rules for war dogs before the old forum crashed

If you really want to play Gurkhas – you have the “Gurkha Section” on page 237 of the main rule book. In that section they have “Tough fighters and Scary Blighters” rules as place holders until the Armies of the Commonwealth book comes out next year. Unfortunately, you can only are two dudes with SMGs in the Gurkha section.

Yes but what exact nations and units I don’t know, seems the British Raj/India will be there with its Gurkhas. Warlord put out this release date map; Armies of the Commonwealth should be out in Q3 2026

Howdy Darin, John!
Yeah, I just checked my Armies of Great Britain 3rd Edition, and there’s no listings for any of the other Commonwealth nations. I “assume” this will be coming later or perhaps is out on a PDF….

Asked for a clarification on this, they said to continue to use the army selection in the Core rulebook until Armies of the Commonwealth comes out.

Hey just wondering if anyone knows if there will be an update for the British about Gurkha’s or if there is any info on what they should be classified under (Guard…ect)?

You’re right , generic is boring . I’ve always wondered why Warlord’s resin vehicles have molded on stowage as opposed to separate stowage so you can place it where you like , or better yet no stowage at all , leaving it up to the builder to add what they like . I’ve always wanted to build a beach diorama with DD Shermans , but having 2 or 3…[Read more]

Yes, it is a little confusing. What it means is that you add 1 to the target number required. So, if you need a 6+ for a successful roll, you now need a 7+.
the easier way is to convert it to a -1 to the actual dice roll. -

I thank you for the advice, as and I think I am going to take it, to the point were I am going to make (using the figures in the gentleman’s war starter set) 1 x command group and 2x squads with LMG’s for each of the 2 sides, I am also considering getting the Afrika Korps starter army and 8th army starter set, but based on what you suggested…[Read more]

In the AT Vii (100 days), it states…
Gallop at Anything: Commanders issuing a Charge order to a unit with this rule
gain +1 to their Staff Rating to do so. Cavalry with this rule automatically gain
the Ferocious Charge rule (Black Powder, page 90) but must make a break
through move if allowed even if this takes them off the table.… So,…[Read more]

I always assumed it was saying +1 to your command rating; a one-point bonus in other words. Plusses and minuses get thrown around loosely in the rules, so context is always the best guide to what they meant. Surely in this case they wanted the cav to be impetuous, therefore it makes sense that it would be a one-point bonus to the command rating or…[Read more]

I was wondering if someone could help me with how this works mechanically as I *must* be getting something wrong or not understanding something.
I think it’s the wording of the “+1 to Charge order” that’s throwing me off, but to me, that reads as you’re meant to add 1 to a charge order roll – but…wouldn’t that make it *less* likely they’d…[Read more]
