Wesley MyersParticipantI’ll take that to be no to both questions.
I have not seen the new figures yet. I do like the idea of more flexibility for spears/swords/bows/etc so they do not break.
This may be an opportunity to sell flexible pilum to replace broken ones (or just drill out the plastic ones and put the flexible ones in when assembling).
(*Note – if Warlord uses my idea, please supply me with some for said idea)

Wesley MyersParticipantIs this the same plastic that is used by companies for various gaming figures like Star Wars Imperial Assault, the Dungeons and Dragons Board Games, Wizkids figures, etc?
Is ‘Warlord Resin’ polyurethane?

Wesley MyersParticipantI agree, it’s a terrible (or at least not very good) name!
Perhaps it was an inside joke/statement by someone who works at Warlord and it was never noticed.
Or maybe it was by a few disgruntled employees who wanted to make a statement of what they thought of the rules/game/use of Wargames Factory figures at very inflated prices?
Perhaps a statement on how they suspect the game will be supported after it is made (like “Project Z” that was just left to die).

Wesley MyersParticipantMy plan was to get some sprues for 1/2 price but then I noted for Canada we are required to pay $10 USA dollars while they are priced at 6 Pounds …
6 Pounds is actually $7.71 USD. Not very cricket!

Wesley MyersParticipantYou do not have to just use Airfix as a reference:

Wesley MyersParticipantAre we being told we can (should?) just buy the Airfix figures instead?
That would save a lot of money … 🙂
(not to mention able to have a lot more room on the table at a reduced scale)
Unless the 1/32 Multipose figures are meant, instead of the 1/72 …

Wesley MyersParticipantPlay the game as it is meant to be and enjoy it as much as you can.
There are other rulesets you can use with the miniatures.
There is also no law that can stop you from changing some things in the rules, as you see fit, to make the game more exciting, deep, etc for you.
You can also add to the miniatures with those from other makers, as well. You can turn this from a skirmish game to a mass battle game (or have a campaign you devise that includes both elements).

Wesley MyersParticipantLooks good! (I always enjoy viewing how others approach painting.)
How has the painting been coming along?

Wesley MyersParticipantLooks very good!
Makes me want to know how the panzerfaust and mine will work out as counter-measures!

Wesley MyersParticipantIt’s great to see Warlord Games taking the time to answer all the forum questions!
… and in a timely manner …

Wesley MyersParticipantI am in Saskatchewan, Canada. I have the Hail Caesar rulebook (and miniatures).

Wesley MyersParticipantI too would like to see Italians in plastic!

Wesley MyersParticipantThey also offer lots of different troop types: chariots, cavalry, slingers, archers, sword, spear, armoured, unarmoured, etc.
Many, many manufacturers make Celts so the variety of poses and equipment is probably unrivaled in 28mm.
Probably just as many make Romans, but being more uniform, the poses and variety of equipment are just not there.
If you like painting and spending lots of time doing it and a lot of variety and colours then that is another bonus for Celts.
