Frau and the “Out for the Count” set with the chaplain and the vampire are both Bolt Action weird war lines and don’t have any rules in K47, or even in BA, as far as I can tell.

I like the Enthrall idea very much. Taking a different tack from the suggestion above, maybe make every unit within 6″ have to take a morale test before acting. If the vampiresses beat a unit in combat, instead of killing the enemy they add the enemy model to their own unit as a vampiric thrall.

    Nice models, too!

I did not realize that the Galahads each had an LMG! I assumed they were assault rifles, like everyone else’s powered armor. Wowzers. They also have both Resilient AND Tough, too. They’re slow, but since you can plop them in a Kangaroo, who cares about that?

You can certainly give the unit multiple order dice and use Snap-to-Action all the time if you want them to coalesce around him.

I have no opinion on the cost of the unit. I never play game with points and I don’t care about ‘competitive’ lists, metagaming, tournaments, and so on. I’m a scenario/campaign gamer.

Going by what is implied in Resurgence p. 24, then Gross has to move at normal speed unless the rest of his unit is wiped out. For hand to hand combat, he still only gets one attack so pair off the troops in a combat and see if he wins, giving him a separate color die as you would for weapons of a different type so you know who rolled what.

It does, but IMO you lose something without the Reactions.

I am now thinking that most vehicular dinosaurs should just have an all-around armor value instead of different profiles, to make it easier to handle on the table. I vacillate back and forth about this from day to day. I also have yet to complete the Run Amok table.

I do have a WIP ankylosaur with howdah for my Hollow Earth Germans, which I have attached. I have 3D printed a Gilak lass to be the mahout as well as some infantry crewmen for it, which have yet to be painted.

US heavy bombers may have Tesla pods added for anti-fighter defense. May also be useful for close air support.

A lot of the modifications may be more subtle. For example, bailing out pilots or their planes may have the same gravity systems as on a Mudskipper to improve recovery chances. Or better radar, infrared, etc… for more night fighting and all-weather actions.

About partisans: they are unlikely to have much in the way of Rift tech, and what they do have would likely have been captured off of their primary opponents. So, for example, your Polish may have a captured Spinne or a Schwerfeld projector, and your anonymous Asian partisans may have a captured Sasori or a couple of crates of compression rifles. Thematically, they would be rare because they are unlikely to know how to fix them or ‘recharge’ them over a campaign.

I’ll give a lame answer and say it depends which tactics you’re talking about, your mission objectives, and the composition of the enemy force. Of note, the factional benefits are in some cases different in K47 than in Bolt Action, so, for example, the US has air dominance in Bolt Action, but that trait is replaced by a couple of others in K47.

I don’t play Marines, but I have a US paratrooper force with all of the Rift-tech equipment that’s sold except for the Grizzly (which I couldn’t find in stores) and the Tesla Greyhound. Obviously, I don’t use them all all the time, and the bulk of my force in any engagement I’ve ever played has been vanilla Bolt Action units. All US forces have significant advantages in fire and maneuver (rifles and BAR do not take a -1 when Advancing, gyro-stabilized heavy weapons do not take a -1 when advancing) and they can take three machine gun teams (including a heavy) for each machine gun slot, plus they re-roll 1s on all team weapons (not just machine guns — bazookas and mortars too), so in general you are going to get the most advantage out of them by moving quickly and maneuvering to get into the best firing positions rather than, say, Germany or Japan who have either national characteristics or weaponry suited to sitting at the back end of the table or dug-in for ambushes.

I think you are talking about the M1942 uniforms. Here is how I painted mine (not so great picture included):

    1. Basecoat spray paint with Rustoleum Camouflage Light Army Green. Get good coverage, because otherwise you’ll have to try to paint match. This looks perfect, IMO, once washed.
    2. Pouches, webbing, backpacks, and helmet foliage strips with Vallejo Pastel Green (you can also use Vallejo Khaki or Iraqi Sand. In this case, use an appropriate wash)
    3. Elbow/Knee patches with Vallejo Gunship Green
    4. Wash all greens with Citadel Athonian Camo Shade.
    5. Boots Vallejo Chocolate Brown. Wash with Citadel Agrax Earthshade or similar.
    6. Light dry brush with Vallejo Iraqi Sand for highlight detail and dust.
