I’m hoping 3rd ed is just 2nd ed with incorporated errata and small tweaks.

Bolt Action is a good rule set …no need to overhaul it

I get what you mean, but if you create a means for a ‘loader’ to become a ‘firer’, then the fix is on the MMG, rather than fixing Snipers.

If LMGs get cheaper for everyone, how would it affect the Slovak national rules?

The only thing I don’t like about MMGs and HMGs is their ability to get sniped off the table. Maybe have at least a Morale check to convert a loader to a shooter vs death?

Yes, penetration works on infantry.

Otherwise, Vets with body armor is awful to get through

Is there a general statement on how campaign books are to be used anywhere?

I got my 1st one for my Soviets (The Road to Berlin) and it just seems to jump right in without much introduction.

I haven’t tried any selectors outside of the generic Reinforced Platoon. At this point, we are just building up collections and fielding what we have built/painted

Hmm….I didn’t expect that.

So just Rulebook + Armies of + campaign book of my choice. And even then, somethings are locked in/out of army selectors.

Rules-wise, i don’t think so. Not One Step Back says a model is removed, but doesn’t specify a casualty is taken.
