Big Al, I agree when using historical OB’s!

I’m toying with a one time leadership test for a two battalion brigade when a battalion goes shaken, or (and?) when a battalion breaks. Failing the role results in the brigade breaking. It would make the brigade more fragile, yet it would not be automatically broken.

Napoleon, that’s still 100% vs 75%, in my view 2 battalion brigades should be discouraged.

Typo in my comment to Ben, not 8 battalions, but 4.

Dave refer to the rule reference, BP2, page 83, middle column, first full paragraph.

Ben, it’s not a question, but an observation.

Consider the possible “cheese” factor in this scenario.

A rearguard action between an 8 battalion division as a rear guard holding off a (very) small corps of 16 battalions. The attacking corps has 4 brigades of 4, while the defender is organized as 4 brigades of 2. Both armies would be considered broken after 8 units are shaken.

2 battalion brigades should be discouraged IMO.

BTW, I always deploy in depth.

Big Al, while it is true the rule suggestion first appeared in Albion Triumph Volume One, it is included in BP2, page 83, under “broken brigades” first paragraph, middle column, after the bullet point.

A two battalion brigade is broken when 100 percent of the battalions are shaken, that’s two battalions

A four battalion brigade is broken when 50 percent are shaken, again two battalions.

    We’re you using COE?

I would have elected to form closed square as described on page 99 of COE, unless of course COE wasn’t being used.

I tried posting a picture, but it’s larger than the 512 kB limit

I received an email when I posted my previous reply saying it would be 10 days for delivery, so I assumed I would have to wait and stopped checking my front door (where parcels are left)

Today (Monday) as I was leaving for work I realized I had forgotten my Bluetooth headphones so I ran back into the house (using the front door) and lo and behold there was a parcel

That’s right somehow Warlord managed to time it right, not only that but it’s signed

At least you got your copy, I preordered within the first few minutes but will have to wait at least another week since I’m in the U.S.

OK, so BP2 will be in stores Saturday, does that include U.S. stores, I ask because I preordered and Saturday is 26 hours away, it will be most disheartening to see the tome on the rack knowing I paid an extra 25% for shipping just to receive it after the release date

Despite a slight possibility of it being autographed, it’s the kind of thing that could wipe a grin off a guys face

The only thing wrong with the cover is…

    He looks too grim

Thanks guys, I was wondering because of a discussion regarding multiple moves and limiting firing
