The rules suggest that all destroyed vehicles can be left as wrecks, which then block LOS and are classed as impassable.
(I know an option is to not have wrecks but they do look good with all that billowing smoke)

So in a game tonight a Halftrack got boxed in by the wreck of a sherman, and a jeep!!! This seems a little bit daft as it could easily of been my Tiger stuck in a similar way.

Is there anything in the rules we’ve missed, and if not how do you folks all play those lovely wrecks??

Nothing you’ve missed, there are no rules I’m aware of for vehicles to push wrecks out of their way (either with or without risks to themselves).

If you find it unsatisfactory you need to house rule what you do find satisfactory. Possibly base something on the ramming rules?

Our House Rules allow heavier vehicles to push lighter vehicles 4″ in the same direction as the wreck is facing after rolling a d6 which if a 1 or 2 means the wreck cannot be pushed. if the wreck is sideways on then you need a 5 or 6 to shove it 2″ ans a 1-2 means it cannot be moved. We might eventually include something about the shoving vehicle getting stuck.

Tanks do not turn the same way as wheeled vehicles, they pivot on the spot by stopping one track and moving the other so your Tiger (unless constrained by terrain) pivots then moves off. Mind you a Tiger should be able to crush a Jeep by driving over it!

Thing is burning military vehicles could have all sorts of things onboard that go boom! That out the way… heres a little spitball of an idea…

Armoured vehicles stay as impassable wrecks with smashed drive trains. softskin vehicles are removed on a 7+ on the damage table, otherwise become impassable to infantry and wheeled vehicles and destructible obstacles to tracked vehicles.

to go over one roll a D6 and add the difference in the DVs (so a heavy tank would add 4) on a 3 plus the tracked vehicle crushes the destroyed softskin. To make it harder you could subtract 1 for every 4 passanger slots after the 1st 4 (so a truck which can take 12 would give a minus 2)

thanks folks. Yes terrain was the trigger for this question as it forced the tank to become trapped by the wreck..

Good to know we have the rules correct and thanks for the house rule suggestions if we decide we need a fix
