As expected Customer Service comes through in force and will get my proper planes, now I just have to play the waiting game! Im disappointed by the fact that Warlord wont better support this amazing ruleset, seeing how they seem to put a lot of effort and money behind other much more nische and likely less popular games. Oh well, things are what they are.

At least it will give me some time to research paint schemes and gather the paints I need for it.

Havent heard from CS yet but its understandable they might have a lot to do atm with the world crazy and whatnot.

But I tried fitting the wildcats properly on the flightstands today thinking it might work with a little force. It went SNAP and one plane broke in half…Not at a wing or anything, straight through the fuselage…

 

Have mailed with another image and more info to CS hoping to hear from them soon, at least to know things will be solved…But it sure is a let-down…

I dont know if there is a way to check which ”printing” of the starter i got but i think theyve been sitting on the shelf for a while so possibly from the initial release.

Ive heard only good things about Warlords CS and the only time ive previoualy dealt with them they were awesome ao im not worried about it at all, just a little disappointed at the moment :/

Edit:

It should have to be cleared up for sure but initially i felt it has to work to some extent since its included in the ”suggested forces” list.

Then again, so is the Ace Pilot Skill ”lightning reaction” and in the suggested matchup that skill has no effect so in essence a useless card.

Sidenote: played a match tonite, the game is massive fun!

Andy Chambers mentioned it in the WI interview, and on the facebook page theres a picture stating that BRS 1/72 is arriving this summer!

1/72 is too large to have more than maybe 2 planes per side at a 6×4 table so im assuming, or hoping, that its a more complex and detailed ruleset intended for those single or 2v2 dogfights.

I still think ill prefer the current BRS and scale but I cant deny it will be awesome to see the bigger planes on a table!

A bit of a sidetrack here but when building the action deck, can you use more than one of a doctrine/theater card or do each have to be unique?

For example, two copies of “Heavy Flak Presence” for the two theater cards?

I have to say that ive gotten a newly found appreciation for the models and their design after building them! I wasnt overly excited about the design earlier but after building them over the past week Ive grown fond of them, both the concord and the Ghar!

Oh, I had no idea! That sounds interesting indeed but I wish it would have been a European WWIII setting instead. Whatever the case, Im interested for sure!

As I was too impatient 😀 to wait for an answer I went ahead and built them pretty basic, not exactly as the box says as I wanted a few supporting options too.

I did three basic full squads for both the US and Germans and added some sniper teams and bazookas too.

I have a few models left over for both sides so when I eventually decide what I want to change/add I can start with them 🙂
