I am very surprised that the following troops are not mentioned in V3 . I know that they were added in some of the later Campaign books but surely this was the time to make them readily available to all.
1 Rifle grenade’s. Come one War Lords you had a US infantry man with a rifle grenade with the pre order. How am I supposed to use him? If I have to use my second edition books it make life problematic. Picking and choosing which rules I like and which rules I don’t .
2 Chaplains. They seem to have gone to meet there maker.
3 Battlefield Reporters. You have had them in some campaign books introduced them and now they are gone.
4. Intelligence Officers. Gone.
I hope that someone will clarify the situation.
PS has any one else noticed that the sdkfz 250/7 is a sdkfz 251/2 .

What we got was the core rulebook revised and copy and pasted v2 units with minor tweaks. It seems that people think that the missing stuff will be included in the armies of … books – I think thats a bit silly as they’ll be back to repeating rules in different books which increases the chance of differeing rules…. as you said rifle grenades missing its like only 4 out of the 5 core armies used them!
you also missed 5) Flags! – 2 out of the 5 were known for carrying them!
6) Over 10 different nations /factions with their own rules (such as Free French, NZ, Aus, Indian, Chinese x3, etc ) are also missing in action!

But for me, any game that has this sequence has lost credibility anyway:
Step 1: I have hit you
Step 2: I have killed you
Step 3: You are ‘unkilled’ because you are behind a wall and ‘saved’. But that means I didn’t hit you because the wall got in the way…
You can say it’s abstraction, but it’s still nonsense.
October 4, 2024 at 3:03 pm #190502NatParticipantHowever they included the Dutch(!) I’ve seen Australian & Canadian armies … heard of Chinese lists but never heard of someone making / seen pictures of a Dutch army…. <shrugs>
Also yeah… I preferred it as cover as a shooting mod…

Those are mighty dead bricks. But it also means a more pins and quicker calculations with fewer modifiers for each phase. What we are finding a bit cumbersome is that in fact there are more modifiers than one might think that are associated with special units that you have to remember. I hope some of the missing parts are addressed in FAQs or similar updates rather than in the army books.
