NatParticipantOsprey release date is 31st July… so about then!
The WL delivery will most likely be the Wednesday to Saturday time scale (variations due to local post!)

ParticipantThey still haven’t fixed the Lanchester AC 🙁

Donald LinnParticipantThere are a couple of glitchy bits I have noticed (apart from the Lanchester A/C armament discussed elsewhere!)
1. There is no provision for having more than one SMG in the standard rifle section
2. Similarly, only one Bren is allowed in a standard rifle section.
3. The 95mm CS Howitzer in the Cromwell/Centaur is classed as a Medium Howitzer, but if you put it in a Churchill V or VIII, it is only a light howitzer……

NatParticipant1 & 2 – yes …. standard British Army Sections only had one….. none standard units (paras, commando etc) did have multiple issued…
3 – ok… that makes me laugh /cry …

Donald LinnParticipantNat- for 1 and 2 , it was common in the late war for sections to have acquired extra automatic weapons- particularly in motor battalions. I think it should be an option for Late war regular and veteran sections.
as to 3, the Rule book list counts the 95mm as a Medium Howitzer no matter what tank it is fitted to!

NatParticipantThe problems is that you are talking about ‘acquired’ ie NOT issued.. its not recorded how many units acquired stuff because.. its wasnt official, or uniform – & lets be honest as per the other issues people have noticed not surprising that its not there..
motor battalion rifle section:
8 men, NCO + transports driver had SMGs, 1 Bren & 5 rifles .. so if you have the drive on the table then you have no transport!rifle battalion sections
10 men, NCO with SMG, 1 Bren & 8 riflesSo to get additional SMGs /Brens you take smaller sections or you go “I’m running a list based on Y war diarys where they had Z in each section”

GregParticipantWhat happened to the Gurkhas? They’re not listed in the Armies of GB book. What did they do, go AWOL?

ParticipantMost likely they will re-appear in the Commonwealth book, when it comes out…
“For the first time, Italy and France will have their own standalone books, bringing them firmly to the table as ‘major’ Bolt Action factions, and the Commonwealth will join the stable, not as an appendix to the Armies of Great Britain, but as its own unique book covering half a dozen different nations!”

ParticipantGoing through the new rule book and the new Armies of Great Britain book. I can not find any mention of the Highlanders. Is there any word as to when they will be available?
Thanks,
Stoff
