    From the Jan 2019 FAQ:

    Q: What represents a squadron?

A: As a rule of thumb groups of different aircraft types (i.e. bombers and fighters, or different types of fighters) are represented as different squadrons. It’s also sensible to group together aircraft into squadrons of six or so aircraft. For organising your own scenarios, the number of aircraft will be governed by your points costs in your scenario and currently there is not a maximum number of aircraft per sqn. Historically speaking squadrons would have on average 12 aircraft but could have as many as 18 aircraft, although probably not all serviceable and some would be used for spare parts, availability of pilots was also a major factor.

Now we have a slightly different version of the OPs 3 options.

In this video, Jon Russell says that flamethrowers work like this:(I think)
Roll D6 to see how many shots you get
    Roll XD6 to hit
If you get ANY hits, multiply that one hit by D6
Then roll XD6 to damage.(as usual)

So you’d never get more than 6 hits.

I don’t think this works with the way the rule is written either. It still doesn’t line up with “the number of hits is multiplied into D6”

Nope. First game, the US took a ton of pins in the DZ and couldn’t regroup before the Germans wiped out 2 squads.

Second game, the US had no pins when landing, regrouped well, but then we couldn’t get the dice draw to go our way and lost 7 men with 2 squads exiting.

2 points per “US casualty caused” is pretty OP. The second game, we played it as 1 point per figure and it was a closer fought match. 7 Germany to 6 US

Where did the name Blood Red Skies come from? I’m currently enjoying the Judas Priest track of the same name and wondering if Andy is a fan?
