One-shot weapon: Means it can only be used once per game, it allows you to choose if to use it when doing a fire or advance action.
Now IIRC (away from my rulebook) they still have their old to hit chart. This means no other to hit modifiers happen. As its a hit against the DV of the vehicle and NOT a facing cover wont apply! however its not…[Read more]

I have a question regarding Soviet dog mines.
The V3 rule on page 257 reads, “Dog mines: A dog mine is a one-shot weapon with a range of 18”.”
I assume the unit represents a dog running towards a vehicle similar to the Japanese suicide anti-tank team. However, the Japanese unit is resolved like an assault. My question is do we treat a dog mine…[Read more]

No. Engaged units must stand.

There are two kinds of games… competitive gaming and uncompetitive gaming. My experience is that competitive gaming while it may offer some enjoyment produces all sorts of “gamey” actions. Uncompetitive gaming tries to be philosophical about the situation. Ideally, the idea of “controlling” objectives infers some sort of strategic value re…[Read more]

Hey Guys,
We probably should know this but in a game last night we had a “blue”Infantry unit with a “blue” Cavalry unit in support to the flank, fighting a “red” Infantry unit.
In “red’s” turn a “red” Infantry unit charged the front of the supporting “blue” Cavalry.
Can the “blue” Cavalry Countercharge, or, being “in combat”, is it forced to…[Read more]

Our reading of the rules suggests that there is no “contested “state. The objective is controlled by the side that captured it (legally) until the opponents clear all enemies from within 3″ and end their activation within 3”. Merely moving to 3″ does not change the status. We have found this to be helpful in resolving this issue! Hope that helps

Donald Linn replied to the topic Question on Dutch Tanks – One Turret or Two? in the forum Bolt Action 1 year, 5 months ago
Most of the KNIL Vickers lights had a twin Colt-Browning mounting, I believe. I think that would be 2 MMGs? The HMG would be the Vickers 0.5″ as on British light tanks, but as far as I know, they were never fitted on the Dutch vehicles

Duncan McEwen started the topic Errata and Editing list? in the forum Bolt Action 1 year, 5 months ago
Hi all,
Is there some place that people are compiling all the editing comments and errata questions for V3? The rule book has quite a few editing issues from typos to incorrect picture captions. I was hoping that maybe some fans were making a list to help Warlord out? I also know there is one official Errata document so far, but I think th…[Read more]

I will agree that the new V3 rule book needs some more editing. I am glad I got the digital version and I sincerely hope that Warlords puts some more time into correcting items before the next print run.

Just built a 3 pack of the Panzer IV B/C/D , what a beautiful kit . Ok , it could of had separate turret side hatches and maybe the tropical engine deck seen on Ds in Afrika , but beautiful non the less . Way better than the Panzer IV G/H . That kit needs a redo . So does the T34 . The upper engine deck is wrong with the hatch being too small .…[Read more]

Only the one he failed with on.
The other units never get the chance to be given an order so how can they do at least 1 move of that order? Its like when you give orders to your first brigade commander the timing for instictive orders has passed so you cant then have a unit carry one out.

This question applies to a brigade has multiple units that qualify for a free move and they are not being given a brigade order. If the commander fails in the middle of giving orders to these units, do all the remaining units that qualify receive a free move, or only the one he was giving an order to when he failed?

I’ve always found the resin kits to be lacking in the instruction department , ie , the instructions for a field gun is one line drawing which hides most of the detail behind the gun shield . Not to mention the various unknown pewter bits and pieces . Is that flash or part of the kit , the instructions aren’t clear . I’ve built several guns b…[Read more]
