Not only don’t agree but are opposite in meaning…

    From p.72 rules:

    • On the roll of a 6 ‘to hit’ by ranged attacks requiring less than 6 to hit.

    From Quick Ref sheet

    • On the roll of a 6 ‘to hit’ by ranged attacks requiring better than 6 to hit.

    Which is it?

Right! I don’t know what you don’t agree with but let me try to explain.

“Better than 6” is the same as “less than 6”.

In Black Powder, a roll of 6 to hit causes disorder. In Hail Caesar, a roll of 6 to hit causes a break test. Most of the break test results will cause disorder, with one or two exceptions, some good some bad.

Anyway, the reason for the requirement of two 6’s to cause the break test is as follows.

If your unit requires a roll of 6 to hit (sorry for the way this sounds but that means a roll of 5 is a miss) then your unit must score two hits to cause a break test – two results of 6.

Hope that clears it up. In practice it makes more sense than how it is written.
