									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>While we&#8217;re on this subject, if a spotter is shot at and takes a pin, does the firing unit have to take an Orders Test to fire?  This has come up in a few games recently.  I thought the Spotter in BA was treated as simply a line of sight, not an actual soldier sending a call for fire (unlike in real life, where he is).</p>

<p>1.  Pistols, when available, are much faster to use in close quarters than other firearms.  WLG shouldn&#8217;t have nerfed them.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Reading the V3 rulebook as well as the Build an Army app, I believe that the Suicide bombers merely have to contact a tank (as long as the tank is not Running) to automatically detonate.  So, no rolls to hit.  Am I correct?  (This has been an issue during some games I&#8217;ve played in V2.  Some opponents say you have to roll to hit.)</p>

<p>The second sentence threw me, as he said the roll was damage, not to penetrate.  So, 11 + 1, yes penetration failed.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I use one occasionally.  The biggest drawback I&#8217;ve found to the Lone Sniper is that if he gets hit by an arty strike or by small arms that gets a kill (but not exceptional), there&#8217;s only the sniper, no assistant to dump the kill on.  He could be lost on a 6 in a preliminary bombardment for example.  Just something to consider.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Lone Sniper doesn&#8217;t take the -1 for no assistant as he is not a Team element.  He also ignores the 1st pin he might have in the orders phase.</p>
<p>As an LMG, he takes the -1 for no assistant.  No exceptional hits (unless you roll 6 twice to damage).  Range is the same as any other LMG.  No benefits.</p>
<p>Better to use him as Sniper.</p>
