    So this was announced on fridays news letter…

    going off the other packs will it have?

    single engine – Yak 9? (to go with the yak1 & yak1b we have)
    single engine – La3 (currently have the La5)
    single engine – ???
    twin engine – ???
    single engine bomber – Shturmovik (how can they not include one of these…)
    twin engine bomber – ???

    To me, Il-2 deserves a squadron release, not a proxy.

    My assumption would be that the Il-2 will get another version released as a model. Similar to what they did with the Stukas, they had the D model released as a mini and had the earlier B model released in the Luftwaffe expansion deck.

    The early Il-2’s were originally single seat aircraft and then they were later updated to include an observer/rear gunner position. I’d prefer the latter as a model if I could only pick one.

    so not too bad a guess Nat

    Pe2 is there as a late war bomber option, Pe8 is a bit rare but a heavy bomber so they Sovs will be able to have options in the new Air Strike scenarios, LaGG3 and Yaks to complete the fighter line up.

    No Sewing Machines – they’re pretty useless in BRS and a bit too niche. There was some chat about a biplane card set some time ago and if that ever happens they will probably be in there.

    We couldnt find a twin fighter that justified inclusion – the only real candidate was the Pe3 but it didnt make the cut
