    Battle of Brighton Feedback

A big thank you to the team at The Dice Saloon in Brighton UK for setting up a multiplayer BRS tournament at their excellent gaming venue this Saturday.

Excellent format, 3’x3′ gaming boards laid side by side representing coast and inland with two pairs of RAF and Luftwaffe fighters facing off per board.

4 games during the day, swapping tables after the first game to face different opponents, then for the afternoon you swapped wingman on your side and faced two pairs of opponents.

Results plotted on a ‘tote’ board, to-and-fro results from the individual games (in some cases the Spitfires swept all before them, in others the 109s ripped in from the clouds and scattered the defenders), overall an RAF victory in terms of aircraft losses.

Great atmosphere with the Daughters of Britain re-enactment group in period kit giving radio reports, scramble orders and fuel state remaining announcements.

Really friendly event and a great venue for anyone on the UK South Coast that has not found it yet – well stocked games shop at the front (Warlord, GW, X-Wing etc) and a big gaming area at the back. Hot food to order as well !

    Battleground Bognor

28th October sees the annual show for the Bognor Regis Military Modelling and Wargaming Society at West Meads Village Hall.

I will be running a public participation fast-play version of BRS during the day, if you are in the area drop in and fly a plane for a few turns or stay for longer.

Local show, displays of military models, wargames demos from various periods and shopping opportunities from local traders Bognor Models and Chichester’s Comics Games and Coffee.
