How do I determine frontage for 15mm? Do I halve the recommended frontage? The question as to range/movement has been addressed(use cm instead of inches, etc.)

Also, how are differences in units addressed- French versus Austrians (different unit frontage/unit size )or French versus British?

Thanks in advance for any help in this matter.

    Because I am an OCD nerd I converted the metric frontages in the book to inches and used those numbers as cms;

      BP1

    figs

    BP1

    (mm)

    BP2

    Min-Max (mm)

Implied figure # Men (1:20) cm scale frontage, mm Figures 15mm 1 rank Men (1:33)
    Large 36-40 360-400 260- 325 26-32 520-640 102-128 17-21 563-704
    Std 24-30 240-300 200 – 250 20-24 400-480 79-98 13-16 433-541
    Small 12-16 120-160 120 – 150 12-14 240-280 47-59 8-10 260-325
    Tiny 5-6 50-60

Apologies for the figure scale, which I know will offend some as there is no figure scale in the game, but I use it  for my historical scenarios.

    Regards

WOW! You have been very helpful and have provided very useful information. I realize that it is probably a case of swimming upstream when trying to use 15mm figures in game really designed for 28mm. I congratulate you on your efforts to do such a conversion. My real situation is that I have many, many 15mm figures from a long time ago and I don’t want to spend the money (or time) in working up a large 28mm force. Again, I thank you for your efforts (Ocd aside)!

Personally I think Black Powder works better in 15mm on most tables, since you get more room to manoeuvre. You can see my games here https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLuj8XPFZLKIDi6WqgTihHDMTBPzY-AU7f

Wow, Gary! How have I missed your fabulous YouTube channel for so long?  There are a nice set of battles to catch up with there. Good support for painting sessions 👍

Thanks very much CTG, the youtube channel started as support for my books, but has evolved into a record of my games. 40 years ago I used an A4 hardback notebook for this, but it is good to move with the times. Enjoy.
