I hope someone can help. Two queries

    1. If I have an officer unit and 1 or 2 Japanese units in a transport, can the officer issue a Banzai order to these units? Page 147 Dismounting from transports says :Although a unit can use a run action to dismount it is not allowed to use this move to make an assault.

The Armies of Imperial Japan book page23 Banzai says All affected units (units given the Banzai run order) must then attempt to engage the closest visible enemy unit in close quarters.

    So what rule takes precedence??

    2. If an officer issues a Banzai order and there are 3 units within the 6″ range of the officer but only one visible enemy unit do the Japanese units take turns attacking the single enemy unit or all pile in and distribute casualties? If they take turns at attacking, does the Japanese player get to decide which of his units engage first? If the first Japanese unit’s Banzai attack wipes out the enemy unit do the other units have to continue with the Charge towards a 2nd target now they have been issued the order??

Don’t read to much into this. Keep it simple. Otherwise you will find another thousand little things that can mix.

    1. Page 147 Dismounting from transports – not allowed to use this move to make an assault. Not even for Banzai, so page23 really means that a unit must, if possible, attempt to engage the closest visible enemy unit. Since it cannot, it does not.

    2. You have to resolve each Banzai order in turn. Finishing each unit’s action before going on to the next. However, in any sequence you prefer.
