Quite a lot of the irregular units were equipped with Japanese kit and uniforms, but I wanted them to look different to the rest of my army, so used the Kachin militia set with the Burmese scouts and they look perfect against photos of Burmese pro Japanese militia.</p>

<p>p.87 only mentions it in the fluff, it doesn’t appear in the selectors. however it does say they weren’t used in New Guinea, so that explains it.</p>
<p>im guessing I could use the generic British selector and chose the Australian National Rule, or check out the original Australian pdf.</p>

<p>Forward Arty Observers &#8211; seeing that they call in a bombardment using a fire order, I take it they can’t observe from within a transport?</p>

<p>I seem to recall reading somewhere that if you upgraded a transport with a weapon that causes it to lose its transport capacity, it then counts as an armoured car slot.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Re mass painting &#8211; I’m not sure of your colour scheme, but I’ve just saved loads of time doing a large Japanese Army by using a spray base coat of the uniform colour. I use shades on my minis, so after doing the base I only have to paint flesh/weapons/boots etc., then shades, then a bit of highlighting.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Before I base any figures I score a cross hatch pattern on the base to give any glue something to bind with. Glue my mini to the base, PVA base up to minis metal base and dip in sand/grit. Once painted, and grass/tufts added they look pretty good.</p>

<p>one further point though- the laser line looks good, but surely if you’re holding it above the figures, it doesn’t give you a model eye view, rather a model base view, and an obstacle only (say) 3mm high will stop the line, when in fact the figures eye could actually see the target</p>

<p>live seen on the Warlord site that you can get a pointer and a laser line, can anyone please explain the difference, and is it best to have both?</p>

<p>MRB modifier for ‘down’ troops is -2 to hit, and half hits from HE.</p>

<p>Empire in Flames p.112  says dug-in troops count as ‘down’, but then has in brackets ‘-1 to hit, and half hits from HE’, even going on to say if they also go down the bonus is doubled to -2 to hit.</p>
