American Civil War 1861-1865, Black Powder

Black Powder: 1:1 Scale

With our long-awaiting American Civil War supplement for Black Powder now available to pre-order here, we were recently contacted by community member Eddie Harrington to share some photos of his experiences demoing Black Powder to a few friends…

Eddie just-so-happens to be part of an ACW reenactment group who meet and attend events regularly – the 12th Louisiana infantry, part of the Trans Mississippi Volunteer Infantry Battalion – and Eddie’s been taking the opportunity to spread the good world of Warlord amongst spectacular settings…

Of course, back in the 19th century, tabletop gaming terrain was hard to come by… so the guys make do with using sticks as fences, pine stray as field and leaves as woods… the core mechanics of the game shine through despite a little improvisation – and being surrounded by the sights and smells of the period makes for an immersive experience, to say the least…

We’ve shared his photos amongst the Warlord staff, and it’s fair to say that more than a few of us are a little jealous…

If you want to get a flavour for the American Civil War, pick-up a copy of ‘Glory Hallelujah!’ from the Warlord webstore, and we’ll have it shipped out to you as quickly as we can!

It’s packed with page-upon-page (180 to be exact!) of glorious full-colour photographs, diagrams and much, much more – Coming complete with the free figure ‘Dead-Eye Davy’ it’s the ideal tome for anyone looking to recreate the battles of the American Civil War upon the tabletop battlefield!
