Event: Southern Hemisphere Open 2019

no comments

The Southern Hemisphere Open is Western Australia’s biggest tabletop gaming event. This year, they pulled out all the stops to put Bolt Action at the forefront with a massive tournament!

The 3rd Southern Hemisphere Open was held in Perth from the 1st to 3rd June 2019. Gaming is well and truly alive in Perth. After two years of being shoehorned into a much smaller venue, it finally had room to breathe after being relocated to the Silver Pavilion at the Claremont Showgrounds. It was still a multi-floor event but atmosphere with panels, workshops and participation games galore.

As you can see, we had some fantastic tables for the Bolt Action tournament, including a beautiful D-Day table including an invasion beach and a town to fight through!

The action on Saturday focussed on the poor bloody infantry, while on Sunday, our formidable reporter Mark Newton took to the battlefield with his own tank platoon! We’ll have a rundown of his exploits in a future article!
